The ankles are very significant and often overlooked when it comes to human
performance. Doing ankle inversion, eversion, dorsiflexion and plantar flexion stretches will
help you with your golf game tremendously. This is because proper ankle function will yield
proper knee and hip mechanics, as neither joint will have to compensate for tightness or
lack of mobility within the ankle or calf. Combining all of the stretches, along with doing
ankle circles will help warm-up the ankle, loosen up all of the muscles and ligaments
associated with it, and work on the full range of motion. The last piece of the puzzle is to
make sure that all of the structures on the bottom of the foot are nice and loose. To do this
one can simply roll their foot over a golf ball and apply pressure with the foot to help
massage the bottom of the foot. This will help enhance the function of the foot and ankle
so that walking and golfing is made much easier! Always remember to stretch your ankles
and calves to help improve your golf game and train like a champion!
