RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Senior Research Assistant, Sept. 2014 – June 2016
Stress in Pregnancy Lab, Research Foundation of City University of New York & Queens College, New York, NY
Project: Stress In Pregnancy (SIP) Study, a multi-site NIH funded longitudinal study of pregnancy in developmental
psychopathology. Currently in Phase II of the study, participants are invited to Queens College for a follow-up visit, in
order to track the effects of stress (including Superstorm Sandy disaster related stress) during pregnancy on the
development of child psychopathology, relative to other variables of interest, including maternal biomarkers,
(epi)genetic factors, socioeconomic status, and microbiome diversity.
• Designed and programmed a psychophysiology startle probe paradigm to measure heart rate, skin
conductance, and respiration reactivity in mother and child using E-prime and Acqknowledge software
• Recruited and scheduled participants for follow-up assessments
• Pre-processed and analyzed skin conductance and heart rate variability data
• Conducted training for research assistants in psychophysiology administration and biological specimen
collection (hair, saliva, and toenail samples)
• Administered and scored the WPPSI-IV child assessment tools on 17-53 month old children
• Administered and scored the Bayley-III Scales of Infant and Toddler Development
• Administered and scored the SCID and MINI interviews to mothers
