Jennifer J. Litomisky
Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit
For more than 30 years, Jennifer has dedicated her life to the non-profit sector.
Jennifer has been the Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities
(Detroit House) of SE Michigan since 2000. The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit
serves as a ‘home-away-from-home’ for families of critically ill children who are
hospitalized at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Jennifer secured her Masters of Non-Profit Management in 2000. Shortly thereafter, she
took the position of Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. She
remains there today, managing a staff of six and working hard to raise major funds so
that families can have a ‘home-away-from-home’ while their critically ill children are
being taken care of at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
In 2007, Ms. Litomisky received the Humanitarian of the Year Award from Alabama State
University.
In 2008, Ms. Litomisky was the first recipient of the Woman of Inspiration presented by
the Detroit Shock, professional basketball team.
In 2013, Ms. Litomisky, as leader of the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit, was a finalist
in Crain’s Best Managed Non-profit in southeast Michigan.
In 2014, Ms. Litomisky was admitted into a doctorate program at the University of the
Rockies, where she is pursuing a PsyD in Non-Profit Management.

PsyD program
In 2015-2016, Ms. Litomisky worked with key individuals on the Ronald McDonald
House of Detroit Board and community leaders to secure a $3 million Expansion
Campaign to build the new Ronald McDonald House of Detroit
In 2015, Ms. Litomisky, with the support of board, staff and volunteers, opened the new
26,000 square foot, state-of-the art, Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.
She is a member of the American Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and was awarded the
Eastern Michigan University Scholar/Athlete Award, upon completion of a four year,
basketball scholarship.
Jennifer resides in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan with her partner of 19 years, Valerie
Newman.
In her spare time, Jennifer is an artist and avid athlete, training 6 days a week.
