NAIOP Award of Excellence, Best Interiors, Tenant Space 15,000 - 50,000 SF
Sprint Emerging Products is an award-winning 40K square foot penthouse space overlooking Reston’s Town Center. Home to the multidisciplinary innovative products development team, it was designed and constructed using thought provoking materials and layout intended to spark creativity in dreaming up Sprint’s new products and services.
Polygal translucent panels are used as walls and doors to bring light to the interior of the space. WallTalker white board medium covers most walls facilitating the streaming of ideas and collaboration. Varied floor and ceiling tile colors and shapes provide an unconventional view. Corrugated aluminum, Polygal, natural poplar trim and rolling barn doors create a mixed environment of wall surfaces that forego traditional means of ingenuity for the occupants of the space.
2. Judges' Comments:
•Very progressive overall design with a good use of color.
•Innovative use of non-traditional materials such as plexi-glass, corrugated aluminum and
ceiling tiles.
•Nice opening and closing spaces, efficient use of flexible spaces with rolling barn doors
and dividers from the ceiling.
•Trendy and somewhat unorthodox, the design supports the space’s use for the tenant to
think “outside the box” to dream “Hi-tech” and to discover “the next best thing”.

8. "I will reinforce that Jeff Shinrock is an A+ performer and contributor. We could not have successfully executed
without Jeff's in depth involvement in all aspects of the project. He worked issues proactively, helped drive quick
and needed discussions, tee'd up the necessary tradeoffs in a fact-based way with options and suggestions, and
executed. Many, many thanks from me and my team."

Vice President, Product Innovation
Sprint Nextel Corporation
"Jeff has been a valued partner of the EPG and the Strategy Team. His accomplishment of successfully
managing and delivering the VA Innovation project at the last minute is similar to the knight arriving on a white
horse. Jeff was instrumental in turning around a project that had been plagued with permit issues, multiple
handoffs in project management, and numerous changes in deliverable dates. He instantly took responsibility
and accountability for the project, the budget, and holding vendors and internal Sprint organizations responsible
for deliverables. Because of his professionalism and customer service, he instantly gained the respect of our VP
and all Innovation team members. We never doubted that Jeff would deliver on the date he promised when we
witnessed his ability to run our project.
Our history with Jeff's predecessors had become quite shaky. We found that we were dedicating a full time
person plus several part time to manage/oversee the day to day activities of the project. Once Jeff was assigned
all EPG team members were able to refocus on their EPG deliverables with full confidence that the workspace
was being handled by an expert. Jeff customer service is truly "Nordstrom" quality."
