It is my pleasure to write this recommendation letter for Javier Garcia Blanco. I was
his thesis supervisor at the Institute of Internal Combustion Engines and Automotive
Engineering at the University of Stuttgart for his Master’s thesis. His design of a
wheel drive unit was used in the model scale wind tunnel as a part of a current re-
search project.
I can ensure that he was an extraordinary student both regarding the project itself
and also on a personal side. He showed an outstanding focus and also brought nu-
merous ideas leading to a result that was far more than expected. Javier never
missed any deadlines or appointments and has remarkable organizational skills. He
is able to successfully complete multiple tasks with favorable results despite deadline
pressure. As part of the Master’s thesis, he applied his 3D design skills in CATIA V5
as well as dimensioning and monitoring of the manufacturing process. The final
grade obtained was very good and he was clearly among the best students.
Also, I want to remark that Javier is friendly and communicative and can create a
good atmosphere in the working place.
