Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab: Residential Assistant
(Part Time: 2007 – 2013)
Responsible for safety, care, and treatment of children with psychological,
neurological, and/or social disorders. This was an excellent opportunity to improve
my leadership skills, better understand conflict resolution/prevention, and diffuse
stressful situations. Also included teaching and promoting life skills with diverse
group of clients.
Activities Coordinator Internship (2011)
Contributed in selecting, budgeting, planning, and facilitation of events for Students
at UW Parkside. This included being involved with contracts, venue preparation,
scheduling space/equipment, negotiating with performers and agents, facilitating
clean up from events, marketing, and evaluating events.
Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab: Facility Administrative Officer
(Temporary Position: 2009 – 2010)
Part of the facility management team. Responsible for overseeing facility and
faculty (residential and hospital units), scheduling nurses and staff, crisis
prevention, and other managerial duties. This position was terminated in 2010 and
duties absorbed into pre-existing staff positions.

SUPER CAMP: Team Leader & Wellness Person (2002 & 2005)
Supercamp is an academic summer camp that teaches advance learning skills.
Responsibilities included ensuring the safety of campers and keeping them active in
events during their camp experience. Also assisted in teaching such skills as speed
reading, power math, creative writing, SAT preparation, and other academic
courses.
Bretting Community Center: Teen Center Attendant (2001 – 2005)
Help monitor patrons of the facility, manage membership fees, and take care of
facilities. Duties also included planning, preparing, and facilitating middle school
dances and other activities held at the center.
YWCA After School Program: Youth Mentor (2005)
Helped run programs for elementary school students after school. These programs
included homework time, computer time, arts and crafts, etc.
Volunteer Leader and Member of 4-H (1995 - current)
Worked on a variety of projects and community events in connection with 4-H
including digital arts judging, adult volunteering, and participating in local fairs and
events.
Conflict Resolution Crew (2000 – current)
As a team Conflict Resolution Crew creates a safe environment for self-expression
and acceptance of differences throughout the Racine Unified School District. We
achieve this by delivering a variety of seminars, live performances, and group
activities including high rope courses, low rope courses, and community building
games. Our actions help build trust and prevent conflict among peers in the district.
Performing Arts Club (2003 – 2005)
Founding member and president of the Performing Arts Club at Northland College.
Duties included writing and managing grants, marketing, managing activities and
events for club members and local community.
Day Treatment Center (2002 – 2003)
Worked with kids who were removed from mainstream schools due to a variety of
psychological and social disorders. The Organizations goal was to help these
children to return to mainstream classes by offering them a variety of therapies and
help identify any special needs required to return to school. Responsibilities
included tutoring, assisting with therapy, and teaching lesson plans.
Civil War Re-enactor (1999 - 2001)
Took part in educational events for the general public by reenacting Civil War
Battles and demonstrating the soldiers’ life in camp.
