Instructor of Record, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL (August 2013 to Present)
I teach two sections of undergraduate level introductory communication studies per semester. As an
instructor my primary duties are to create lesson plans, lecture notes, exams, and in-class activities that
develop students’ public speaking skills and knowledge of communication theory. I am responsible for
evaluating all student work and assigning grades, along with completing requisite course assessment
materials. I also facilitate course evaluations for other sections of undergraduate level communication
studies.
911 Emergency Dispatcher, City of Springfield, Springfield, MO (Summer 2012)
I fielded and directed all incoming 911 calls to the proper agency. In doing so I worked with medical, fire,
and police response teams. I managed emergency response traffic for both the city and county.
