2. Mission Statement
The Spa Enterprise Business Awards (SEBA 2013) is a business enterprise competition in
Droitwich Spa to celebrate the business talent in the area which will encourage
entrepreneurship and boost economic growth by bringing together established businesses
and business start-ups thus developing a thriving business community.
Project Objectives
This business competition will:
1. provide an avenue to celebrate and reward the local business talent
2. bring together and further develop a strong business community in Droitwich Spa
3. identify winners and runners up for each competition category who will be rewarded
with prizes to help develop their businesses and reward hard working business people
4. provide a unique networking opportunity for sponsors and stakeholders
SEBA’s mission & objectives
3. "There comes a time in the life of an entrepreneur when one has
to start giving back to society. In a way it's almost like repaying a
debt to society whose members bought the products and
services in the first place and thus created the wealth."
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou - founder of easyJet.
SEBA’s inspiration
From the experience of our
Project Director, Jacqui Morley, who,
following redundancy early in 2012,
started her business as a
freelance Project Manager. In the
face of the challenging economic climate, she
had the vision to bring the established business community
together to reward and mentor emerging business talent.
4. 2013 sees this inaugural year of this exciting new business awards for
Droitwich Spa run by businesses, for businesses. The competition
incorporates a new way of combining bringing together established
businesses, encouraging new business start-ups and incorporating a
fresh approach to B2B networking.
We are passionate that our competition entrants should not be the only
winners in this project. All our sponsors, stakeholders, judges and
members of the SEBA project team will have opportunities to raise their
company profiles by having their companies highly promoted on our
advertising and PR material together with their logos and contact
information on our website and Facebook, together with extensive
networking opportunities with like-minded businesses.
SEBA 2013 is therefore the perfect medium for building brand-awareness
and to be seen as being a key part of the Droitwich Spa business
community. The PR launch and awards networking night
along with other events through the year are expected to
provide fantastic opportunity for promotion by local media
including radio and television, dedicated website and
social media.
