Unlike other care homes, Irvine Cottages offers 24-
hour monitoring throughout the patient suites,
aromatherapy diffusers in each suite, and an optional
transition service that provides new residents with
one-on-one care for the first three nights after their
arrival.

 Irvine Cottages exceeds alternative homes in other
ways, as well. Families receive reports detailing their
family member’s care plan each month, as opposed
to the more common yearly updates. A daily exercise
program has been designed to complement regular
physical therapy, and patients are monitored for vital
signs once a week, four times more often than at
other facilities.
One other important way in which Irvine Cottages
differs from other facilities is in the availability of
nursing staff. Rather than having no nurse on-site
over the weekend, Irvine employs a nurse seven
days a week.
