• Detroit's industrial sector is continuing a solid run of activity that has pushed availability rates in several
submarkets to historic lows. The overall availability rate in the Detroit region sank to just 10.9 percent in
the second quarter, a decrease of 100 bases points year-over-year. In response, rents have ticked up
over the same period 4.6 percent to $4.30. Based on demand trends and current requirements, total
availability is expected to fall near 10.0 percent by the end of the year.
