7. PURPOSE
My purpose is to use my God giving talent to help not only myself but also other abused
women as well: To show them that our voices can be heard through writing and
performances, and through books, movies and DVD. We can be victorious and triumph
by using our voices in a positive way. We need to empty the mess out of us so that we can
help someone else. I want to teach women that there is a better way when we use our
voice. I want to move beyond the community, churches into theater and film. There is
plenty of room for good Christian stories, and Hallmark Channel and Oxygen have
presented that venue to us. I want to have workshops, writer conferences for those of us
that live in the Midwest, but everyone is welcome. I want to empower women, because
the market is still geared toward men that are in the industry of films and television. I
have a gift. I want my voice to be heard and I want to be known as a writer who is
making a differences.
