CCR for CIE- AS Foundation portfolio

1. -My media product is based on ‘women trafficking’. I took
inspiration from the movie ‘Taken’ so the genre of my movie
is thrill and action. Because of my editing and soundtrack, my
media presentation gets a dramatic touch. In my movie, I've
kept everything conventional as the young generation is the
one who's being targeted and being kidnapped through
different ways. Social websites, internet and mobile phones
play a very big role in this thing as people tend to meet
strangers there and start trusting them. My projects
represents the social group of the teenagers and the issue
shown is trusting stranger very easily.

3. -My project is targeted towards teenagers and their parents.
The main aim of the movie is to aware people about the dirty
businesses happening in the world and that they should
never trust strangers. The Unique Selling Point of my movie is
spreading awareness amongst people regarding kidnapping,
women and human trafficking. Movies like taken and trade
has the same genre as my movie project and inspiration is
taken by me from these movies.

4. As I am just a student, my media project is not up to the mark
of professional movies so just to start off with, I’ll put up my
video on youtube and will find sponsors for it. Even if my
video is not liked by many people, I’ll have to face only a
limited amount of criticisms as my movie is not being
released on a big platform.
Plus, I am an amateur so people wont be expecting my video
to be amazing and with no flaws at all.

5. My production skills developed a lot. I had the chance to
capture two shot, mid shots, cut ins, over the shoulder shots
and many more in my camera as I was making this movie
project. I tried to shoot some creative shots as well.

6. I got to know about the basic mistakes and tried to avoid
them like actors looking in the camera and cutting headroom
so I tried to avoid all of them. As my project showed normal
routine days so according to that I kept high key lighting to
make it look more realistic. I had to shoot one scene atleast
three times so that I could choose the best one while editing.
Other than that, my editing skills improved as well as I
learned how to avoid bad editing and jubmpcuts and how to
incorporate effects.

7. I even learned to put the most appropriate soundtrack that
would go with whatever is happening in the video because if
the background music is not perfect then the quality of the
movie may fall as the sound wouldn’t go with the video.

8. -I used the software windows movie maker to edit my video.
-I downloading different soundtracks for the background
through surfing on google. One of the sound tracks link is,
http://soundscrate.com/suspense.html. I used this website to
download the background music ‘The body’ which was put in
in the end to give the dramatic effect.
-I used all of these technologies to make my videoproject.
