Ingrid Masselink has been providing STEP Parenting Workshops to parents at the
American School of Doha for the past two years. She has been a pleasure to work with,
highly professional, and experienced in her field.
Ingrid provides a 2-3 day workshop to help parents learn strategies to use with their
children. She underwent extensive training with the STEP program in order to offer
this workshop. She sees anywhere from 6-12 parents at a time and the workshop
includes instruction, discussion of case examples, and facilitation of group work.
The evaluations from the parents are consistently above average and they reflect on her
openness, good teaching skills, and effective counseling techniques. She is highly
prepared and organized for every session and always follows through with her plans
and commitments. She is flexible, easy to work with, and is able to connect with a
diverse audience of parents from different cultures, religious backgrounds, or
experiences.
I highly recommend working with Ingrid as a counselor and facilitator and find that she
has been an asset to the ASD Counseling Program.
