Admin Module
The module will enable the admin user to carry out user administration related
activities. It should be noted that admin users does not have any operational rights of
uploading or downloading of KYC data. Key functionalities of admin user are
a. Creation of Functional User.
b. Creation of Multi Admin User.
c. User Maintenance
i. Suspend User – For suspension of user. Such users can be
activated again using Activate user option.
ii. Activate User – For activating user which is either blocked (due
to incorrect password attempts) or has been suspended by the
admin user.
iii. Block User – to permanently block the user.
iv. Change Password of Functional Users
Detail procedure for creation and maintenance of users is mentioned below:
1. Creation of Users
 Admin user has to login through MI login option and select System
Security User Maintenance New, for creation of new user.
 On the user profile page, select the user type as Functional User (for
creation of functional user) or Multi Admin User (for creation of additional
admin user) and fill in the other mandatory details. (Leave Issuer CA and
Certificate No fields as it is in case of password base login).
 Multi Admin User will also have the same functionalities as Admin User.

 Group Id should be selected based on the type of users as under
Group Name Group Id Particular
Default 100 For Operational User
MultiAdmin 97 For Multi Admin User
View 101 For only View rights (Online
Registration, Inquiry on KYC (online),
Modify, Reports)
 Login type (Password or Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)) will depend
on login type of the Market Intermediary.
 In case of DSC based user, Issuer CA and Certificate No. field will also be
required.
2. User Maintenance
 Admin user should select System Security User MaintenanceSearch
 Search the user id that needs to unblocked or reset on the basis of User id
or User Name or Status.
 Click on the user id hyperlink to view the user profile.
 If status of user is to be changed, click on “Change Status” option and
select the respective option.
 In case of blocked user, new password is to be captured. Provide the new
password for the user under “password” field and save.
 If only password is to be changed, then capture the new password and
save the details.
