• You must meet English language requirements
• Comply with any conditions that apply or applied to your any Australian visa
• You must meet health and character requirements

Three streams:
1. Short term (2 years)
2. Medium term (4 years)
3. Labour Agreement streams (up to 4 years dependant on the agreement)

• TSS can last from 2 – 4 yrs depending on your nominated occupation, the visa
stream and your circumstances.
• No age requirement for this visa
• Must have a minimum of 2 yrs in your nominated occupation.

8. Visa Timelines
Step 1: Employer nomination can take 3 to 9 months
depending on the role.
Step 2: Applying for a visa involves (a) completing an online
application form, (b) attending a medical and (c)
providing supporting documents. Having your
documents prepared in advance, reduces the time.
Step 3: Processing times which are listed on the Department
of Home Affairs; currently it is 11 to 17 days.
