Programme Details
The programme spreads over2 years
(120 ECTS) of normal study.
The courses providedinthe 4
semesters, S1-S4, bridge different
scientific domains like material
science, physics &chemistry,
engineering & processes, while
keeping a focus onrelevant
applications ofmembranes infood
and healthindustry, industrial and
chemical processing, energy,
environmental control,
pharmaceuticalindustry, biomedical
applications, etc.
Three possibilities of specialization
- Biotechnologies, Food and Health,
- Nanosciences and
Nanotechnologies,
- EnergyandEnvironment.
Around 30 students per edition (both
non-European and Europeanstudents
altogether).
All students studyinthree different
top universitiesandgrow in a
multicultural and multilingual
environment, inthree different
Europeancountries, surroundedby
students andteachers trained in the
best universities.
All coursesare taught inEnglish.
After achievement ofthe curriculum,
students are graduated witha
multiple Masterdegree in‘Membrane
Engineering’ - one for eachuniversity
attended - andrecognizedin each
partner country.
Membrane engineering is a growing field
providing solutions in different areas:
energy, environment, biotechnologies,
food, health, nanotechnologies and
nanomaterials. New opportunities in
different areas are constantlyappearing.
EM3
E offers an advanced education
programme related to membrane
science and engineering at the interface
between material science and chemical
engineering and focused on specific
applicative fields.
Despite a favourable growth rate in the
field of membrane technology, EM3E is
the only Master fully devoted to this
area.
Objectives of the EM3E project
To expand knowledge and educate
students in Membrane Science in order
to provide outstanding students to be
inserted in the industry or in academic
research.
To promote excellence, innovation,
mobility and diversity in high-quality
courses related to membrane science and
engineering at the interface between
material science and chemical
engineering
