Zealand’s lush landscape and they’ve just
landed at Harvey Nichols.

N
ew Zealand born Pia Naera is the talented designer
behind the eponymous womenswear label Pia
Naera. A Kiwi girl through and through, Pia’s
roots are deep into her heritage and culture as a
Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand.
This is reflected in both her design aesthetic and within her
fundamental beliefs as a designer, who chooses to design and
manufacture all of her collection in New Zealand.
Pia believes that New Zealand provides the necessary backdrop
for a unique design approach, but also believes that their qua-
lity of manufacturing is second to none. As a designer, Pia has
focused her skills in on creating some astounding and world
class digital prints. Bold, beautiful, and feminine, Pia’s designs
are influenced heavily by New Zealand’s conditions. Summer
brings rich colours, days that are never ending, vibrant and
playful oceans, and lush green mountainous forests. Winter
stoops into a deep and royal palette. Crimson painted skies,
woollen wrapped days, heavily starlit nights, and moody torrents
of wind and rain demand Pia to never forget the summer that
just passed, or the summer that is to come.
Like Pia herself, the ideal Pia Naera girl is fun, flirty, and has
a charm like no other. She isn’t afraid of colour, for she loves
making a statement. She’s bubbly yet sophisticated, a talented
and driven girl. She doesn’t notice when she catches people’s
eyes, but she is always turning heads. Dressed up or dressed
casually, the Pia girl is stunning.
SS15 marks the labels’ first venture out of the southern hemis-
phere, and what better place to launch than in the world renow-
ned Harvey Nichols. From SS15 onwards a capsule collection of
Pia’s ready to wear collection will be available in Harvey Nichols
Kuwait, offering a taste of PIA femininity, glamour, individuality
