Volume 1, Issue 1
Spring is around the corner!
Look for lot’s of improvements on and off the farm!
Hopefully the worst of the
winter weather is over and
we are all ready for
spring! Lot’s of new things
are happening for Hidden
Meadows Farm this spring
to make the farm a place
that everyone is proud to
call their second home!
First, the front field will be
opening up April 1, which
will allow us to take on
some more boarders
without overloading the
fields! The field was
re-seeded last year and
has been allowed to rest so
it will be fantastic,
particularly for the older,
harder keepers! We
already have a wait list of
people in anticipation of
this so look for new faces
starting in April!
Next, we now have online
bill pay! With your next
invoice you will have the
option to pay online for
your board, as well as your
farrier fees so it’s a one
stop payment for you! No
check writing or getting a
text from me or Nicole
asking where your check
is...just click pay and you
are done!
Also, everyone is invited to
come out for the Clean Up
Day/Pot Luck Social on
March 1 from 2-5pm! With
all the changes, there is a
lot of room to reorganize
and spread out into the 3
tack rooms, MAYBE start
putting away the heavier
blankets until we are ready
to send them to the cleaners
for washing and
weatherproofing and just
some spring cleaning
chores! I am working with
Jeff on the paddock
remodels if the ground ever
dries out allowing us to do
what we want to do! It is
our hopes to have a second
ring and also a large round
pen in the next month or so!
So current boarders, new
boarders, old boarders
and friends ALL come out
and just enjoy the horses,
enjoy each other’s company
and also get a little work
done!

Spring Show Information:
Hidden Meadows Farm Gear at TSI Promotionals in Ashland!
Hidden Meadows Farm
gear is now available at
TSI Promotionals in Ashland!
We will be doing a farm
order in the coming weeks
for sweat shirts, t-shirts,
polos and baseball hats!
The color will be navy blue
with the white logo on the
back. For the front on the
left chest you can either get
the standard barn name or
have your horses name
embroidered for the shirts.
You can also have your
horses name embroidered
on the back of the baseball
cap. In addition, if you
have a jacket or something
else that you would like the
logo put on you can simply
take the item to them and
drop it off for them to put
the logo on and return it to
you! TSI is located at 123
Junction Drive in Ashland.
Let me know if you have
questions or need help with
anything!
Since we have a variety of
disciplines at the farm the spring
show schedule is varied from
Dressage, to Western, to GRHSA,
to 4H. If you are interested in
going to a show, please let
Heather know so that I can put
you in touch with another boarder
that may want to go or is already
going!

Spring Shot/Coggins/Worming
All horses on the property need
to be wormed with a wormer
that contains Oxibendazole such
as Anthelcide EQ.
Keep up with us on Facebook
for all the up to date information and events happening
at Hidden Meadows Farm, LLC
It’s that time of year
again! Dr. Carmen
Franck will be coming
out in March for ALL
horses at Hidden
Meadows to perform
physicals and administer
spring shots. She will
also pull Coggins on
those that need one this
spring and provide
dentals to those that
need them at the time
of her exam.
Also, it’s time for the
first round of wormers
for 2014. Per
veterinary
recommendations, all
horses on the property
need to be wormed
with a wormer that
contains Oxibendazole
such as Anthelcide EQ,
which is pictured to the
left. This can be
ordered online, picked
up at Ashland Feed,
Southern States or
Tractor Supply. It is
really easy to worm
your horse when you
have the exam with
Carmen so everything is
done on the same date
and easier to keep
track of logistically.
Please note that it is
required for all horses
at the barn to be up to
date on coggins,
vaccinations and
wormings for not only
their well being but for
those of their equine
friends.
Farrier Chris Watkins will be at the barn
Wednesday, March 16
for all horses at 1:00 PM.
Winter Weather Thank You!
Pictures from all the January and February
snow out at the farm.
As you all know, January
and February weather was
not at all pleasant when it
comes to having horses!
Snow every week, followed
by warm temperatures were
a recipe for colic and other
issues but with the diligent
work of a lot of Hidden
Meadows boarders and
friends, we have made it
through what is hopefully the
worst of it and we can move
on and enjoy spring! I know,
personally, these individuals
helped me more than
probably they even know
with having to endure the
negative temps, ice, snow,
boot sucking mud etc. of the
past two months and all of
their efforts are truly
appreciated! So when you
see these people at the
farm, make sure you thank
them as well for helping me
to help the horses! Thank
you to Zach, Keegan, Lottie,
Anna, Nicole, Alex, Lisa,
Harry, Steve, Jeff and Andy!
