Responsible for several different crushing and screening systems along with the packing and shipping of
various metallurgical products. Controlled annual budget of $2M; managed 5 supervisors and 45
unionized employees.
· Initiated one project which saved $50K annually and co-authorized another which saved $250K
annually. Selected as the plant representative for a Divisional Operations Improvement Team.
Production Engineer 1976 -
1983
Responsible for providing engineering support and safely producing aluminum hardeners, increasing the
operating time on two briquetting systems, reducing costs and improving productivity.
· Appointed to Divisional Safety Committee which wrote comprehensive operational standards for
fine-sizing metal powders (highly explosive) for the entire Division.
