anything we taught because I was either ahead or behind in what the new school was teaching. It has failed me, but has also told me I must push
myself to do better so I can one day go back and help those who failed with me.
One memory in particular sticks with me the most about being a child left behind was in my middle school years in the sixth and seventh grade year,
English class. English was my worst subject I could never grasp the concepts and new in middle school I would have to figure out a way to pass
and still obtain the information I needed to progress throughout the rest of my time in school. It was my first year in middle school and I had been
given a strict teacher for English or so I had thought. The first couple weeks of class

Middle School: The Worst Years Of My Life
book after book. All titled Middle school, the worst years of my life, how I survived middle school, middle school get me out of here, and the list goes
on . As I was nearing the end of fifth grade, I started seriously thinking about how middle school would be and got worried after hearing of so many
stories of people's terrible middle school years. However, I have to admit it really hasn't been all that bad these last three years and in fact, middle school
may have been my favorite, compared to elementary school. With more freedom, more people, more homework, more activities, more teachers, more
fun classes, more excitement, more everything quite frankly, I have been able to have . I am sure a lot of us have fun throughout these middle school
while learning more about yourselves and the people around us each year. I am sure many of us have been able to say for sure that we have had many
experiences that can prepare us for the future.
These past fews years I have learned that almost anything is possible or manageable with hard work, help when needed, and 100 percent effort. But to
do well in middle school definitely takes some finess. Early on in 6th...show more content...
Many times I have been partnered up with people who would like to procrastinate and finish the assignment at the last minute. I have had to
remember that people work differently and to trust them to hold up to their responsibilities. Working with people who are maybe difficult is a good
foundation skill to have in the future because in future jobs you may have to work with people you do not know as well or work differently than you.
What I have learned is that people that you may think are difficult, are actually just different and we have to try or best to work together with them and
not get frustrated. And not only that, but also try to focus their strengths which are probably differ from

Ever since I came to this school, I have been participating more, but there are times where they call on me and I don't respond or I just say I don't
know.In middle school, I have been using to study for everything, now I haven't been studying as much.I haven't really been preparing myself
before tests/quizzes but for the upcoming finals, I am going to be studying the most because for sure I don't want to be failing 9th grade. When I
have a bad grade in a class, I will usually be asking for help or questions like how can I raise my grade up.I do that because I want the teachers to
know that I'm a serious person and that I care about my grades. This is a bad year for me for turning in homework.I usually turn homework in late or I
don't even turn it in time and that's a very bad habit....show more content...
I would like to improve in a bunch of stuff and starting with one of those things are turning in homework in time.I also want to study a lot more so
I would do better in tests/quizzes.I don't want to be getting distracted no more because there has been a lot of times where I get distracted and I don't
do my work.I also want to do better in Math class because Math is an important subject and also because I am not the best at Math so it would be nice
to see myself do better in that

My Accomplishments In Middle School
I have several notable accomplishments, most of them are of academics. Some of the awards/accomplishments that I can recall ever since I was in
middle school are: First position on spelling contest, department award for the most Helpful student, Student of the quarter, Presidential award for
educational excellence (Gold Seal), 4.0 Honor roll, Indian Classical dance, Achieve3000 state winner, department award for "Excellence in English
Language Acquisition," and Academic Excellence Lettering Award. Among all these awards and recognition, I consider Achieve3000 to be the greatest
because it was a state level competition and was moderately competitive to win. In the Achieve3000 program, basically, an individual has to compete
with the students

Middle School Education Essay
Young adolescents are experiencing a very critical time in their lives by attempting to discover themselves and determine who they want to be. Middle
school children are extremely diverse, physically, emotionally, and mentally due to the changes they experience during the transescence period. Within
the middle school years, an interest in education is either sparked or neglected, and as a future educator it is my responsibility to encourage a love of
learning through the classes of mathematics and social studies.
To begin with, "during the second decade of life, individuals are assumed to acquire a stable personality, to find their identity, to learn the mechanisms
of adult personal relationships, and to learn to cope with various problem...show more content...
It promotes working together and helps find the best learning strategies and approaches to information. In social studies and math classrooms, it is
crucial for students to design projects together and understand what it means to be part of a team. By introducing them to group work in middle
school, they will be ready for the tasks in high school, college, and the workforce. Not only is it important for the students to collaborate, it is also
essential for teachers to collaborate. If all of the math or social studies teachers get together and share experiences, their ideas will help create the most
effective lessons and activities, that are engaging and beneficial to the students. It should not be limited to just the same subject teachers. The teams of
teachers can create units throughout the year and tie in activities that relate directly to the themed unit. For example, if a team wants to focus on outer
space, the students will study it in science, the math class will work on space word problems, language arts can read a science fiction book, and the
social studies class can focus on events such as the space race. Not only should teachers collaborate within their grade levels, they should also
effectively communicate with elementary and high school teachers. By doing so, middle school teachers will recognize what information the students
should already know and what information they will need to know. With the use of pre and post assessments, teachers will be able to effectively
communicate this

My First Year Of Middle School Essay
Walking through the double doors of school and to my very first locker, I took a breath and realized this was a new stage in my life. A new stage in life
meant new people, experiences, and problems– especially problems. I wore questionably clean, wrinkled clothes, ready to start my first year of middle
school. The amount of kids in my class multiplied tenfold with over 250 students. The year prior, I had plenty of friends, and couldn't have been
happier. However, with the additional 200 students, and problems at home flourishing, I never realized until then how alone I actually was. While
walking to my first class I caught several glares from different classmates, some of whom used to be good friends of mine. Once I got to my seat, I
quickly sat down and pulled my worn out hoodie over my face, shutting the world out. Although the world seemed so cold, things weren't always
like this. The years leading up to this moment were much different. Anyone that met me knew I was always a social butterfly. Wherever I went, I
had a friend to talk to. If I didn't have a friend to talk to, I would make some. Making friends was as easy as breathing and just came naturally to me.
My ability to make friendships had no boundaries. There were many times in my childhood that we went on vacation to Myrtle Beach. Every time we
went on vacation, I insisted on meeting everyone staying near our condo. By the end of the first day staying there, everyone knew my name. We
couldn't walk anywhere

Informative Essay On Middle School
During my eighth grade year in middle school I had one of the magnificent teachers ever, Mr. Gendron. He's was my Avid and a math teacher. He
would also teach everyone what was right and wrong. Teaching everyone what they can do to succeed, asking if they needed someone to talk to, he
was as a counselor to me. Whenever he would see someone changing their way to be he would know something was going on, it was as he had
superpowers. He believed that we could work hard enough to succeed. He had hope on us whatsoever. Failing wasn't an option for us, he would try his
best to make us understand the lesson. Making us learn each problem step–by–step. Many significant memories in my eighth grade year, but the special
ones are with Mr.

Looming in front of me was something new, a fresh start. Despite being this, it seemed cold and trying, something that sent shivers down my spine.
Mixed emotions of uncertainty and optimism had filled my first day of middle school; and as my final year is drawing to a close, I realize that this
place–this transitional time in my life– is something that I never want to leave. I created a home away from home, and a family, over the short three
years spent learning here. Each school year, from first to concluding, brought new experiences in which have altered my life. These are the things that I
am hoping to carry over into high school–my next chapter. Every experience in which middle school has brought leaves me changed indefinitely,
shaped for the future ahead. The first year, the time to prove myself had arrived. Classes, rooms, teachers, and some students were unfamiliar.
Eventually, minutes melted into hours, hours to days, and days to weeks. It didn't take long before my schedule was routine, something of second
nature. Humor and happiness were found in the form of my advisory family, where school was transformed into something more than going
through the same motions of day to day activity. By the closing point of sixth grade, I was having a hard time letting go of what I'd adapted to.
"What's wrong?" my dad asked when I was getting into the car after being picked up early on the last day. I explained how distressed I was that my
first year of middle school exceeded my expectations, and that it had to come to an end. Although his outlook viewed my reason for sorrow as
trivial, I didn't. Second year arrived within the seemingly shortest time I could imagine. Reuniting with my friends, I was determined that even if my
advisory had somewhat changed, I would make the most out of my year. "I still feel like a first year," I told my friend–Selena–multiple times,
receiving a chuckle in response. New first years were streaming the school, and I began to feel a new responsibility. This responsibility buzzed in my
mind like a bee until carried out. I was now a leader. Although the opportunity was a somewhat rare occurrence, I took every chance with a great pride
that warmed me from my head to toes. Yet, this

What Is Middle School Easy
When we were told we needed to write a speech we all looked at each other and didn't know where to begin. We quickly realized we were not going
to come up here and tell you that middle school was easy. We all had our struggles and challenges that were different for all of us but we all overcame
them. Sometimes "every move we made felt lost with no direction," but with the support and encouragement from our families, friends and the staff
here at Baird, we were able to get through them.
If these last three years of middle school taught us anything it is that balance is very important in not only school but also in life. With having to deal
with academics, sports, friends and extracurricular activities it is very easy to get lost in knowing

Essay On Bullying In Middle School
Unfortunately, bullying is very common during the elementary and middle school years. In one study of 4th – 6th graders, 25% of students admitted to
bullying another student several times or more often during the school term. Another study found that 80% of middle school students reported
engaging in some form of bullying during the past 30 days; with 15% doing so frequently. In a national study of more than 15,000 students in grades 6
through 10, 17% reported having been bullied "sometimes" or more often during the school term, and 19% reported bullying others "sometimes" or

My Experience At First Middle School
Nice to Meet You All during Elementary School I couldn 't wait 'till Middle School no more taddle tails. A different teacher every day, No more
cranky teacher for the whole day. Yeah! The best part about it is that there will be air conditioning. I know that sounds really weird but at my old
school there was no air conditioning so at the end of the school year the rooms would get super hot and none of the teachers would want to turn on
the fans because they were loud and the students would get really distracted. I know that sounds crazy. I thought it would be the best years of my
life. Everyone and I mean everyone said that said that it would be really hard. At first Middle School was really easy. I met some of the nicest
people I will ever meet. I was in or at least I though I was in. I thought I was one of there friends. I though they were one of mine. I hate to say this I
mean I really truly hate to say this but I was wrong. Super wrong. When I was told that it would be hard. I though by hard when they meant math
would be hard. I was also wrong then to. I 'm starting to thing I 'm wrong a lot. I didn 't think they meant that friends and meeting new friends
would be hard. Dealing with friend drama is really hard. Middle School isn 't just hard it 's impossible. Well almost impossible. Middle school has its
ups and downs, well mostly downs if I 'm honest. As I was saying Middle School is hard I mean their is drama lots and lots of it. I mean their is

Middle School Application Essay
Almost desperately, I sought others' approval. Sitting in my tedious middle school art class and pondering how I could entertain my bored peers, I was
unable to concentrate on my teacher's instructions for copying step–by–step an uninspired painting of a galloping horse. Staring mindlessly at our
classroom's dull clay depiction of Aristotle, I suddenly had an idea. I painted what I saw: blue and yellow hair and black and red tears wetting his
face. Though my art teacher wasn't thrilled, my classmates laughed, granting me the transient fulfillment I craved. At 13, almost morbidly, I
devoted myself to making myself likeable. An online strategy videogame trend among friends in middle school prompted me to practice and
become a master of the game even though I detested it. Though I was approved of, even respected, by my peers, it felt unsatisfying spending
dozens of hours staring at the screen. Meanwhile, because I relished laughter and the social acceptance it signified, it was common for me to block
mouse sensors with paper and tape, prank call family members and friends pretending to be a confused delivery guy, and even hide dorm mattresses
while their owners were away. I also desired validation from my parents and school. I studied for countless hours to win local math contests and
strived for excellence in...show more content...
In learning to genuinely appreciate who I am and what I do, I gradually found purpose (and ironically, the approval I once worked so hard to achieve)
for my actions: I saw more value in what I'd always been expected to excel at in school–math, physics, and basic programming languages. On a smaller
scale, when I posted math problems that I enjoyed to my school social media community, my peers appreciated my recommendations and prompted me
to make these problems a weekly series. When not sought out, approval became a component of genuine

Writing Style Of The Middle School Essay
Starting in elementary school, my parents and I were told that I was above the standard when it came to learning. I was out in a class called "Talent
Development" and we would read and discuss different books. This was the start of my literary career. I started off a little ahead, but as I grew up,
that "advancement" I had started to get smaller and smaller. In middle school, we hardly ever wrote, if ever. Then inhigh school the only papers we
really wrote were in 12th grade. Every other paper was small and could be written out in half an hour. On every paper I wrote I got a high grade,
but with this high grade, I didn't get any feedback. I started just to assume everything I wrote was good, and I became complacent. When it came to
write our big senior exit paper junior year, I made an 80. The main reason was due to the fact that my paper "uses immature writing style that
includes weak word choice, limited sentence variety, vague and inconsistent voice, and marginal coherence." I felt crushed. I was angry at my
teacher who supposedly proofread my draft and did not provide one ounce of feedback on how the draft was. Our senior papers were graded by
other teachers and our names were not on it to prevent bias. Who ever graded my paper either had a different idea of where 12th graders should be
at when it comes to writing than my teacher, or my own teacher slacked off and didn't read my paper at all. Either way, the one thing I did know and
start to realize, is that I was

Middle School Application Essay Sample
Since submitting my original application to Berkeley back in November, I organized and took a leading role in a project called the Brown Middle
School Health Sciences Pilot Program, a project which has been considerably meaningful to me and my growth as an individual, learner, and leader.
As mentioned previously in my original application, I was perplexed by the seemingly never ending complexity of human anatomy, and I developed a
love for medicine at an early age. Unfortunately, no classes or programs were offered by my middle school that explored these topics. Although my
desire to seek the health sciences was fulfilled in high school, an opportunity to explore medicine at an even earlier age would have garnered even
further success and would help me progress through my secondary education at a more focused rate.
Now, as a senior in high school, I was given the opportunity to create a project to help my community in some way related to health sciences. I
immediately formed a small team to organize a program to benefit my community educationally by giving middle schoolers the chance to explore
medical careers and human anatomy, something I didn't have the chance to do myself at that age....show more content...
Our vision for these lessons was to give the middle schoolers a candid perspective on the medical field, letting them know not just the benefits of
becoming a doctor, but also the trials and tribulations they must undego. Furthermore, we wanted them to explore anatomy and medical procedures
hands–on, rather than through books or videos. They were to learn how to suture on meshes that accurately simulated real skin, perform CPR on
mannequins that gave real time feedback, measure and chart vitals of their partners, and cut into and explore organ specimens that reflected the
structure of their human

Descriptive Essay On Middle School
Checking my test score, I saw a large red letter "B" at the top of the paper. Then, I glanced at my classmate's test; I could clearly see the letter "A+"
with a compliment sticker. From that moment, I started to feel as if I were falling behind my peers; I wondered if I would forever be behind them
academically. I studied for hours on end throughout middle school, yet when I fell behind the others in Science, the validity of my achievements felt
brittle. Feeling discouraged and exhausted, I climbed into a tree and escaped into an endless night sky.
Stepping through a dry spot on the hill, I laid back on the slope between lines of trees, pushed the negativity to the back of my mind, and pondered
the brightest stars in my favorite constellations. From the distance, they seemed insignificant and detached from the present reality, yet their parallels
to my situation gave me the perspective I needed. The stars that burned too hot too quickly became deserted on all sides, eventually collapsing into
shadows as they ran out of fuel. Other stars were so proximal that they consumed each other as they revolved, never to become independent. My
favorite star, however, began life with a massive core. She shed her outer layers, grew into an abundant supply of energy, and left an explosion– a
supernova that undulated for eons as its nebula provided for new stars....show more content...
By the time I entered high school, the layers of dejection and the burden of feeling unfulfilled were at my feet; no longer defining my character – no
longer limiting my ardor for achievement.
I confronted my fears of insignificance and evolved, embracing visions of a better world. My accomplishments remind me of what I have not yet
achieved, and my idealism has molded my perspective of the future: It's not a question of what I want to do in my life, but of what I want to change

Descriptive Essay On The Middle School
The sickly sweet smell of hot summer air is so thick I can almost taste it as it enters my nose and I'm instantly transported back to a little North
Carolina college town. The radio and air conditioning start to fade away as I open the car door to the sounds of birds chirping and teenagers
chatting. I couldn't tell what is sweeter the freedom of being out of the car or the ice cream threatening to come back up. I walk around the car to
meet mom and she just gives me a look that I know means she can tell I'm nervous. It's not like the opportunity to stay on a college campus two
states away from home comes everyday. Sure I've been on sleep away trips but sure those were maybe a week, this would be three and those were
before the awkward middle school phase set in. I was ready to try at least so I reassure her with a smile and start walking. We stop on the steps of
the dorms, I inhale sharper then a knife, and a petite girl in a screaming neon yellow staff shirt with shiny orange hair and a pink tiara says, "hi." I
mutter a "hi" back barely audible. I feel a nudge on my back slowly urging me forward and inside. I first notice the neon lanyards that aren't quite
yellow but not green enough to be green that are around all the kids necks. I suddenly feel stupid, like I shouldn't be at a camp for smart kids, all
because I don't have a lanyard. The second thing I notice is that everyone is smiling, we're about to be unofficial college students and submerged in
school work for a few

My Life Of My Middle School Years
My middle school years was not a very easy chapter in my life, but the past three years have defined me a lot. I'm an iceberg type of person; you
can see a little bit of me on the surface, but the real part, the bigger part of me, is hidden. I don't show all my colors at once. I keep myself clamped
shut, too cautious to share myself with other people. I've learned early in life that some people's stories just briefly entwined with mine before we part
ways forever. I learned that everything in life in temporary, and that made me hesitate to get to know people well–after all, what's the point when you
just have to leave? Now, I know better. These three years have really shaped who I am. Even though everything isn't permanent, it's the moments, the
little snapshots that count. Life is short; moments are fleeting, but memories last forever in the book of life. It's a journey, and every moment has a
significant impact on me. My theme is "Page by Page", which means that I am writing my own story. Whatever has happened through these years, I
have chosen my own path. We are the authors of our own life, and I'm just at the beginning. Page by page, we create the life that we live in. Even
through all the hardships, my middle school years have been altogether the best experience I could ever have.
In sixth grade, I was almost meek, preferring to stay in the shadows and read a book than converse with other students. Everything was so strange, and
at first, it was quite overwhelming.

My Greatest Challenges In Middle School
I was about to face my greatest challenge in my new life. How to fit in with people in middle school. Arriving in America was already hard to
adjust, what more can it be with my school life. It was in August when my school started. I was already nervous, and I haven't even step foot from
this mysterious school that I'm about to spend 2 years of my life. My father dropped me off to school, and as I entered, I witnessed large groups of
students walking into a specific building, so I presumed that, it was where students get to know their schedule for their classes, but my anxiety
filled conscience told me to make sure that my assumptions were true. I saw a girl walking alone to the building, she was Caucasian, and around
the same height as mine. I cautiously walked up to her trying not to bump anyone in those overflowing crowd of students, and with a strong Asian
accent I asked "Hey, are the schedules for our classes there?" I could see her face trying not to laugh at my accent, I never felt so embarrassed in
my whole life, but at least she did not ignore me, she replied with a smile and said "yes". Well what a great start to my day, as I walked into the
building I saw a seemingly endless line to nowhere, but as I got in line a person tapped my shoulder. I immediately turned around thinking it was the
girl again, however, it was just another student, he was a tall guy, however, he did not look like he played sports, he was really scrawny, and with a
surprised look at his

My Experience At Middle School
In middle school, 5th to 8th grade, I endure multiple adjective to describe my experience in middle school. While in Middle School, I struggle with
my appearance which has stayed as an adult. For I always look at myself and all the flaws in my features, as my family members and/or friends
state my beauty features, I will brushed them off by stating the negative feature I visually observe. Until recently, I've overcome my inability of
reading in public and/or to my peers. As my cousin passed away tragically, his mother (my Aunt) asked if I will read his poem to her and a group
of 50 strangers. She knew my fear of public speaking, she also knew my dream of becoming a teacher and starting to a career as a substitute
teacher. Therefore, she knew I needed to overcome the fear of speaking. I am extremely pleased with myself to speak clearly and to have the
strength and encouragement of my family to overcome my greatest fear with a poem in dedication to my beloved cousin. In 5th grade, my
insecurity resulted in myself being bullied by others for my appearance which I expressed still affects myself as an adult. When conduction
presentation as I displayed unconfident with my appearances, therefore in English, I failed behind. I would hid in a corner and during reading
groups, and when asked to read, I would stutter and/or have an excuse for not being able to read. In 6th grade, being shy and not able to talk to others
as I being afraid of what they thought and would say as the

Middle School Reflective Essay: The Worst Years of My Life

  • 1. Middle School Reflective Essay anything we taught because I was either ahead or behind in what the new school was teaching. It has failed me, but has also told me I must push myself to do better so I can one day go back and help those who failed with me. One memory in particular sticks with me the most about being a child left behind was in my middle school years in the sixth and seventh grade year, English class. English was my worst subject I could never grasp the concepts and new in middle school I would have to figure out a way to pass and still obtain the information I needed to progress throughout the rest of my time in school. It was my first year in middle school and I had been given a strict teacher for English or so I had thought. The first couple weeks of class Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Middle School: The Worst Years Of My Life book after book. All titled Middle school, the worst years of my life, how I survived middle school, middle school get me out of here, and the list goes on . As I was nearing the end of fifth grade, I started seriously thinking about how middle school would be and got worried after hearing of so many stories of people's terrible middle school years. However, I have to admit it really hasn't been all that bad these last three years and in fact, middle school may have been my favorite, compared to elementary school. With more freedom, more people, more homework, more activities, more teachers, more fun classes, more excitement, more everything quite frankly, I have been able to have . I am sure a lot of us have fun throughout these middle school while learning more about yourselves and the people around us each year. I am sure many of us have been able to say for sure that we have had many experiences that can prepare us for the future. These past fews years I have learned that almost anything is possible or manageable with hard work, help when needed, and 100 percent effort. But to do well in middle school definitely takes some finess. Early on in 6th...show more content... Many times I have been partnered up with people who would like to procrastinate and finish the assignment at the last minute. I have had to remember that people work differently and to trust them to hold up to their responsibilities. Working with people who are maybe difficult is a good foundation skill to have in the future because in future jobs you may have to work with people you do not know as well or work differently than you. What I have learned is that people that you may think are difficult, are actually just different and we have to try or best to work together with them and not get frustrated. And not only that, but also try to focus their strengths which are probably differ from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Middle School Essay Ever since I came to this school, I have been participating more, but there are times where they call on me and I don't respond or I just say I don't know.In middle school, I have been using to study for everything, now I haven't been studying as much.I haven't really been preparing myself before tests/quizzes but for the upcoming finals, I am going to be studying the most because for sure I don't want to be failing 9th grade. When I have a bad grade in a class, I will usually be asking for help or questions like how can I raise my grade up.I do that because I want the teachers to know that I'm a serious person and that I care about my grades. This is a bad year for me for turning in homework.I usually turn homework in late or I don't even turn it in time and that's a very bad habit....show more content... I would like to improve in a bunch of stuff and starting with one of those things are turning in homework in time.I also want to study a lot more so I would do better in tests/quizzes.I don't want to be getting distracted no more because there has been a lot of times where I get distracted and I don't do my work.I also want to do better in Math class because Math is an important subject and also because I am not the best at Math so it would be nice to see myself do better in that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Accomplishments In Middle School I have several notable accomplishments, most of them are of academics. Some of the awards/accomplishments that I can recall ever since I was in middle school are: First position on spelling contest, department award for the most Helpful student, Student of the quarter, Presidential award for educational excellence (Gold Seal), 4.0 Honor roll, Indian Classical dance, Achieve3000 state winner, department award for "Excellence in English Language Acquisition," and Academic Excellence Lettering Award. Among all these awards and recognition, I consider Achieve3000 to be the greatest because it was a state level competition and was moderately competitive to win. In the Achieve3000 program, basically, an individual has to compete with the students Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Middle School Education Essay Young adolescents are experiencing a very critical time in their lives by attempting to discover themselves and determine who they want to be. Middle school children are extremely diverse, physically, emotionally, and mentally due to the changes they experience during the transescence period. Within the middle school years, an interest in education is either sparked or neglected, and as a future educator it is my responsibility to encourage a love of learning through the classes of mathematics and social studies. To begin with, "during the second decade of life, individuals are assumed to acquire a stable personality, to find their identity, to learn the mechanisms of adult personal relationships, and to learn to cope with various problem...show more content... It promotes working together and helps find the best learning strategies and approaches to information. In social studies and math classrooms, it is crucial for students to design projects together and understand what it means to be part of a team. By introducing them to group work in middle school, they will be ready for the tasks in high school, college, and the workforce. Not only is it important for the students to collaborate, it is also essential for teachers to collaborate. If all of the math or social studies teachers get together and share experiences, their ideas will help create the most effective lessons and activities, that are engaging and beneficial to the students. It should not be limited to just the same subject teachers. The teams of teachers can create units throughout the year and tie in activities that relate directly to the themed unit. For example, if a team wants to focus on outer space, the students will study it in science, the math class will work on space word problems, language arts can read a science fiction book, and the social studies class can focus on events such as the space race. Not only should teachers collaborate within their grade levels, they should also effectively communicate with elementary and high school teachers. By doing so, middle school teachers will recognize what information the students should already know and what information they will need to know. With the use of pre and post assessments, teachers will be able to effectively communicate this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My First Year Of Middle School Essay Walking through the double doors of school and to my very first locker, I took a breath and realized this was a new stage in my life. A new stage in life meant new people, experiences, and problems– especially problems. I wore questionably clean, wrinkled clothes, ready to start my first year of middle school. The amount of kids in my class multiplied tenfold with over 250 students. The year prior, I had plenty of friends, and couldn't have been happier. However, with the additional 200 students, and problems at home flourishing, I never realized until then how alone I actually was. While walking to my first class I caught several glares from different classmates, some of whom used to be good friends of mine. Once I got to my seat, I quickly sat down and pulled my worn out hoodie over my face, shutting the world out. Although the world seemed so cold, things weren't always like this. The years leading up to this moment were much different. Anyone that met me knew I was always a social butterfly. Wherever I went, I had a friend to talk to. If I didn't have a friend to talk to, I would make some. Making friends was as easy as breathing and just came naturally to me. My ability to make friendships had no boundaries. There were many times in my childhood that we went on vacation to Myrtle Beach. Every time we went on vacation, I insisted on meeting everyone staying near our condo. By the end of the first day staying there, everyone knew my name. We couldn't walk anywhere Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Informative Essay On Middle School During my eighth grade year in middle school I had one of the magnificent teachers ever, Mr. Gendron. He's was my Avid and a math teacher. He would also teach everyone what was right and wrong. Teaching everyone what they can do to succeed, asking if they needed someone to talk to, he was as a counselor to me. Whenever he would see someone changing their way to be he would know something was going on, it was as he had superpowers. He believed that we could work hard enough to succeed. He had hope on us whatsoever. Failing wasn't an option for us, he would try his best to make us understand the lesson. Making us learn each problem step–by–step. Many significant memories in my eighth grade year, but the special ones are with Mr. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Looming in front of me was something new, a fresh start. Despite being this, it seemed cold and trying, something that sent shivers down my spine. Mixed emotions of uncertainty and optimism had filled my first day of middle school; and as my final year is drawing to a close, I realize that this place–this transitional time in my life– is something that I never want to leave. I created a home away from home, and a family, over the short three years spent learning here. Each school year, from first to concluding, brought new experiences in which have altered my life. These are the things that I am hoping to carry over into high school–my next chapter. Every experience in which middle school has brought leaves me changed indefinitely, shaped for the future ahead. The first year, the time to prove myself had arrived. Classes, rooms, teachers, and some students were unfamiliar. Eventually, minutes melted into hours, hours to days, and days to weeks. It didn't take long before my schedule was routine, something of second nature. Humor and happiness were found in the form of my advisory family, where school was transformed into something more than going through the same motions of day to day activity. By the closing point of sixth grade, I was having a hard time letting go of what I'd adapted to. "What's wrong?" my dad asked when I was getting into the car after being picked up early on the last day. I explained how distressed I was that my first year of middle school exceeded my expectations, and that it had to come to an end. Although his outlook viewed my reason for sorrow as trivial, I didn't. Second year arrived within the seemingly shortest time I could imagine. Reuniting with my friends, I was determined that even if my advisory had somewhat changed, I would make the most out of my year. "I still feel like a first year," I told my friend–Selena–multiple times, receiving a chuckle in response. New first years were streaming the school, and I began to feel a new responsibility. This responsibility buzzed in my mind like a bee until carried out. I was now a leader. Although the opportunity was a somewhat rare occurrence, I took every chance with a great pride that warmed me from my head to toes. Yet, this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. What Is Middle School Easy When we were told we needed to write a speech we all looked at each other and didn't know where to begin. We quickly realized we were not going to come up here and tell you that middle school was easy. We all had our struggles and challenges that were different for all of us but we all overcame them. Sometimes "every move we made felt lost with no direction," but with the support and encouragement from our families, friends and the staff here at Baird, we were able to get through them. If these last three years of middle school taught us anything it is that balance is very important in not only school but also in life. With having to deal with academics, sports, friends and extracurricular activities it is very easy to get lost in knowing Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Essay On Bullying In Middle School Unfortunately, bullying is very common during the elementary and middle school years. In one study of 4th – 6th graders, 25% of students admitted to bullying another student several times or more often during the school term. Another study found that 80% of middle school students reported engaging in some form of bullying during the past 30 days; with 15% doing so frequently. In a national study of more than 15,000 students in grades 6 through 10, 17% reported having been bullied "sometimes" or more often during the school term, and 19% reported bullying others "sometimes" or more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Experience At First Middle School Nice to Meet You All during Elementary School I couldn 't wait 'till Middle School no more taddle tails. A different teacher every day, No more cranky teacher for the whole day. Yeah! The best part about it is that there will be air conditioning. I know that sounds really weird but at my old school there was no air conditioning so at the end of the school year the rooms would get super hot and none of the teachers would want to turn on the fans because they were loud and the students would get really distracted. I know that sounds crazy. I thought it would be the best years of my life. Everyone and I mean everyone said that said that it would be really hard. At first Middle School was really easy. I met some of the nicest people I will ever meet. I was in or at least I though I was in. I thought I was one of there friends. I though they were one of mine. I hate to say this I mean I really truly hate to say this but I was wrong. Super wrong. When I was told that it would be hard. I though by hard when they meant math would be hard. I was also wrong then to. I 'm starting to thing I 'm wrong a lot. I didn 't think they meant that friends and meeting new friends would be hard. Dealing with friend drama is really hard. Middle School isn 't just hard it 's impossible. Well almost impossible. Middle school has its ups and downs, well mostly downs if I 'm honest. As I was saying Middle School is hard I mean their is drama lots and lots of it. I mean their is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Middle School Application Essay Almost desperately, I sought others' approval. Sitting in my tedious middle school art class and pondering how I could entertain my bored peers, I was unable to concentrate on my teacher's instructions for copying step–by–step an uninspired painting of a galloping horse. Staring mindlessly at our classroom's dull clay depiction of Aristotle, I suddenly had an idea. I painted what I saw: blue and yellow hair and black and red tears wetting his face. Though my art teacher wasn't thrilled, my classmates laughed, granting me the transient fulfillment I craved. At 13, almost morbidly, I devoted myself to making myself likeable. An online strategy videogame trend among friends in middle school prompted me to practice and become a master of the game even though I detested it. Though I was approved of, even respected, by my peers, it felt unsatisfying spending dozens of hours staring at the screen. Meanwhile, because I relished laughter and the social acceptance it signified, it was common for me to block mouse sensors with paper and tape, prank call family members and friends pretending to be a confused delivery guy, and even hide dorm mattresses while their owners were away. I also desired validation from my parents and school. I studied for countless hours to win local math contests and strived for excellence in...show more content... In learning to genuinely appreciate who I am and what I do, I gradually found purpose (and ironically, the approval I once worked so hard to achieve) for my actions: I saw more value in what I'd always been expected to excel at in school–math, physics, and basic programming languages. On a smaller scale, when I posted math problems that I enjoyed to my school social media community, my peers appreciated my recommendations and prompted me to make these problems a weekly series. When not sought out, approval became a component of genuine Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Writing Style Of The Middle School Essay Starting in elementary school, my parents and I were told that I was above the standard when it came to learning. I was out in a class called "Talent Development" and we would read and discuss different books. This was the start of my literary career. I started off a little ahead, but as I grew up, that "advancement" I had started to get smaller and smaller. In middle school, we hardly ever wrote, if ever. Then inhigh school the only papers we really wrote were in 12th grade. Every other paper was small and could be written out in half an hour. On every paper I wrote I got a high grade, but with this high grade, I didn't get any feedback. I started just to assume everything I wrote was good, and I became complacent. When it came to write our big senior exit paper junior year, I made an 80. The main reason was due to the fact that my paper "uses immature writing style that includes weak word choice, limited sentence variety, vague and inconsistent voice, and marginal coherence." I felt crushed. I was angry at my teacher who supposedly proofread my draft and did not provide one ounce of feedback on how the draft was. Our senior papers were graded by other teachers and our names were not on it to prevent bias. Who ever graded my paper either had a different idea of where 12th graders should be at when it comes to writing than my teacher, or my own teacher slacked off and didn't read my paper at all. Either way, the one thing I did know and start to realize, is that I was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Middle School Application Essay Sample Since submitting my original application to Berkeley back in November, I organized and took a leading role in a project called the Brown Middle School Health Sciences Pilot Program, a project which has been considerably meaningful to me and my growth as an individual, learner, and leader. As mentioned previously in my original application, I was perplexed by the seemingly never ending complexity of human anatomy, and I developed a love for medicine at an early age. Unfortunately, no classes or programs were offered by my middle school that explored these topics. Although my desire to seek the health sciences was fulfilled in high school, an opportunity to explore medicine at an even earlier age would have garnered even further success and would help me progress through my secondary education at a more focused rate. Now, as a senior in high school, I was given the opportunity to create a project to help my community in some way related to health sciences. I immediately formed a small team to organize a program to benefit my community educationally by giving middle schoolers the chance to explore medical careers and human anatomy, something I didn't have the chance to do myself at that age....show more content... Our vision for these lessons was to give the middle schoolers a candid perspective on the medical field, letting them know not just the benefits of becoming a doctor, but also the trials and tribulations they must undego. Furthermore, we wanted them to explore anatomy and medical procedures hands–on, rather than through books or videos. They were to learn how to suture on meshes that accurately simulated real skin, perform CPR on mannequins that gave real time feedback, measure and chart vitals of their partners, and cut into and explore organ specimens that reflected the structure of their human Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Descriptive Essay On Middle School Checking my test score, I saw a large red letter "B" at the top of the paper. Then, I glanced at my classmate's test; I could clearly see the letter "A+" with a compliment sticker. From that moment, I started to feel as if I were falling behind my peers; I wondered if I would forever be behind them academically. I studied for hours on end throughout middle school, yet when I fell behind the others in Science, the validity of my achievements felt brittle. Feeling discouraged and exhausted, I climbed into a tree and escaped into an endless night sky. Stepping through a dry spot on the hill, I laid back on the slope between lines of trees, pushed the negativity to the back of my mind, and pondered the brightest stars in my favorite constellations. From the distance, they seemed insignificant and detached from the present reality, yet their parallels to my situation gave me the perspective I needed. The stars that burned too hot too quickly became deserted on all sides, eventually collapsing into shadows as they ran out of fuel. Other stars were so proximal that they consumed each other as they revolved, never to become independent. My favorite star, however, began life with a massive core. She shed her outer layers, grew into an abundant supply of energy, and left an explosion– a supernova that undulated for eons as its nebula provided for new stars....show more content... By the time I entered high school, the layers of dejection and the burden of feeling unfulfilled were at my feet; no longer defining my character – no longer limiting my ardor for achievement. I confronted my fears of insignificance and evolved, embracing visions of a better world. My accomplishments remind me of what I have not yet achieved, and my idealism has molded my perspective of the future: It's not a question of what I want to do in my life, but of what I want to change with my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Descriptive Essay On The Middle School The sickly sweet smell of hot summer air is so thick I can almost taste it as it enters my nose and I'm instantly transported back to a little North Carolina college town. The radio and air conditioning start to fade away as I open the car door to the sounds of birds chirping and teenagers chatting. I couldn't tell what is sweeter the freedom of being out of the car or the ice cream threatening to come back up. I walk around the car to meet mom and she just gives me a look that I know means she can tell I'm nervous. It's not like the opportunity to stay on a college campus two states away from home comes everyday. Sure I've been on sleep away trips but sure those were maybe a week, this would be three and those were before the awkward middle school phase set in. I was ready to try at least so I reassure her with a smile and start walking. We stop on the steps of the dorms, I inhale sharper then a knife, and a petite girl in a screaming neon yellow staff shirt with shiny orange hair and a pink tiara says, "hi." I mutter a "hi" back barely audible. I feel a nudge on my back slowly urging me forward and inside. I first notice the neon lanyards that aren't quite yellow but not green enough to be green that are around all the kids necks. I suddenly feel stupid, like I shouldn't be at a camp for smart kids, all because I don't have a lanyard. The second thing I notice is that everyone is smiling, we're about to be unofficial college students and submerged in school work for a few Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Life Of My Middle School Years My middle school years was not a very easy chapter in my life, but the past three years have defined me a lot. I'm an iceberg type of person; you can see a little bit of me on the surface, but the real part, the bigger part of me, is hidden. I don't show all my colors at once. I keep myself clamped shut, too cautious to share myself with other people. I've learned early in life that some people's stories just briefly entwined with mine before we part ways forever. I learned that everything in life in temporary, and that made me hesitate to get to know people well–after all, what's the point when you just have to leave? Now, I know better. These three years have really shaped who I am. Even though everything isn't permanent, it's the moments, the little snapshots that count. Life is short; moments are fleeting, but memories last forever in the book of life. It's a journey, and every moment has a significant impact on me. My theme is "Page by Page", which means that I am writing my own story. Whatever has happened through these years, I have chosen my own path. We are the authors of our own life, and I'm just at the beginning. Page by page, we create the life that we live in. Even through all the hardships, my middle school years have been altogether the best experience I could ever have. In sixth grade, I was almost meek, preferring to stay in the shadows and read a book than converse with other students. Everything was so strange, and at first, it was quite overwhelming. • 18. My Greatest Challenges In Middle School I was about to face my greatest challenge in my new life. How to fit in with people in middle school. Arriving in America was already hard to adjust, what more can it be with my school life. It was in August when my school started. I was already nervous, and I haven't even step foot from this mysterious school that I'm about to spend 2 years of my life. My father dropped me off to school, and as I entered, I witnessed large groups of students walking into a specific building, so I presumed that, it was where students get to know their schedule for their classes, but my anxiety filled conscience told me to make sure that my assumptions were true. I saw a girl walking alone to the building, she was Caucasian, and around the same height as mine. I cautiously walked up to her trying not to bump anyone in those overflowing crowd of students, and with a strong Asian accent I asked "Hey, are the schedules for our classes there?" I could see her face trying not to laugh at my accent, I never felt so embarrassed in my whole life, but at least she did not ignore me, she replied with a smile and said "yes". Well what a great start to my day, as I walked into the building I saw a seemingly endless line to nowhere, but as I got in line a person tapped my shoulder. I immediately turned around thinking it was the girl again, however, it was just another student, he was a tall guy, however, he did not look like he played sports, he was really scrawny, and with a surprised look at his Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Experience At Middle School In middle school, 5th to 8th grade, I endure multiple adjective to describe my experience in middle school. While in Middle School, I struggle with my appearance which has stayed as an adult. For I always look at myself and all the flaws in my features, as my family members and/or friends state my beauty features, I will brushed them off by stating the negative feature I visually observe. Until recently, I've overcome my inability of reading in public and/or to my peers. As my cousin passed away tragically, his mother (my Aunt) asked if I will read his poem to her and a group of 50 strangers. She knew my fear of public speaking, she also knew my dream of becoming a teacher and starting to a career as a substitute teacher. Therefore, she knew I needed to overcome the fear of speaking. I am extremely pleased with myself to speak clearly and to have the strength and encouragement of my family to overcome my greatest fear with a poem in dedication to my beloved cousin. In 5th grade, my insecurity resulted in myself being bullied by others for my appearance which I expressed still affects myself as an adult. When conduction presentation as I displayed unconfident with my appearances, therefore in English, I failed behind. I would hid in a corner and during reading groups, and when asked to read, I would stutter and/or have an excuse for not being able to read. In 6th grade, being shy and not able to talk to others as I being afraid of what they thought and would say as the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
