The vest is made for the most demanding operational requirements, giving wearers
excellent manoeuvrability, both in and out of the water.

2. • The PFD1 is constructed using closed ceil foam. The vest has a zipper fastening at the
front and is then tightly secured to the body with an adjustable waist belt.
• The buckle is a hard plastic click locking style. Special pockets have been provided in
the vest.
• The vest is comfortable to wear in all conditions, especially tropical conditions.
• The vest has a zipper fastening at the front and is then tightly secured to the body
with an adjustable waist belt. The waist belt has a side release buckle. The life jacket
has been designed with pockets for ammunition/magazines, radio or personal items
at the front and side of the jacket.
• Lifejacket has two webbing “D” ring permanently attached to the bottom front part
of the jacket.
• Each lifejacket is fitted with a pea less whistle and cord is attached.
• The vest woven fabric air textured yarn is water repellent, water proof and fame
resistant. The Vest is good for UV protection.
• SOLAS grade reflective tape (100mm X 50mm) is located in four places on the upper
side around the neck.
• The life jacket will keep a wearer of 60 Kg and above afloat.
• It has been designed to allow the wearer to jump from a height of at least 5m into
the water without injury and without dislodging or damaging the life jacket
• The life jacket has been designed to keep the mouth and nose of an exhausted or
unconscious person 100mm out of the water
• The buoyancy of the life jacket closed cell foam will not reduce by more than 5%
after submersion in water for 24 hours.
• The floatation capability will be maintained even after being hit by bullets or
punctured by other means.
• The life jacket has been designed to turn the body of an unconscious person chest up
and to keep the mouth and nose out of water in the minimum of time.
