2. Aim of the study
• This study aimed to determine the percentage of
the incidence of parasite Trichomonas vaginalis
and the risk factors of infection with this parasite
such as (age, residency, pregnancy,
contraception, education level, aborted or non-
aborted and marriage duration) among women
in Erbil city.

3. Material and Methods
• For each participating woman, urine and vaginal
swab was collect,:
• The urine is put in a sterile tube for examine
directly under microscope to search about the
parasite if present,
• While vaginal swab were taken from each
woman and examine immediately as part of a
routine diagnostic procedure for a motile
parasite.

4. • Then full information was record for each woman
such as age, residency, pregnancy and education
level .
