CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - Swinomish Fish Company, La Conner, WA, USA 3/2013 - 8/2015
After 3 years as an independent businessconsultant responsible for developing business plans for SFC, I was
hired as the COO in March, 2013. Responsibilities included all operating activities in the company with up
to 100 seasonalemployees. Main focus on developing new business activities to secure year round activity
in a traditional seasonal salmon processing company.
PRESIDENT/OWNER - Castle Cape Seafood, Seattle, WA, USA 1/1998 – 12/2012
Formed Castle Cape Seafood, Inc. in 1998 to organize ongoing business activities:
* Global seafood trading/brokering ($20-30 million in annual sales)
* Business consulting and development with main focus on seafood projects worldwide including
tribally owned enterprises in State of Washington, Alaska and Canada.
PRESIDENT/OWNER - International Maritime Management, Inc. (IMMI), Seattle, WA, USA
1/1995 - 7/1997
Formed IMMI in 1995 with the purpose of merging five at sea processing companies (factory trawlers),
manage two tuna purse seiners operating in the Eastern and Western Tropical Pacific and five factory trawlers
operating in the Eastern Bering Sea (Alaska). Challenged with enhancing growth, increasing competitiveness
and raising profitability in highly volatile market place. Reporting to Board of Directors, recruiting and
managing 27 staffin addition to vesselcrew of 480, full responsibility for all strategic and tactical corporate
activities. The company was sold in 1997.
* Responsible for all formalities related to establishing the company including securing financing,
legal issues,developing and implementing a functional organization plan, negotiating office lease,
hiring and training staff and developing and implementing operational and marketing plans.
* Planned and implemented $20 million refurbishment program for the fleet which resulted in
vessels doubling their production compared to pre-refurbishment performance. Alaskan fleet
outperformed competitors during first season. Total sales in first full year of operation were $60
million with EBITDA of $13.5 million.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - Nordea Bank (Norway, England, Singapore, USA) 2/1987 - 9/1994
Commenced working for Nordea Bank in Norway in February of 1987. Nordea Bank was Norway’s second
largest Banking Group with totalassets ofmore than US$20 billion and one of the world’s largest lenders to
the seafood industry with a loan portfolio to this segment of more than US$1.5 billion. Was offered position
as Vice President in the bank’s Seafood Division responsible for the Bank’s global seafood related activities.
Promoted to Senior Vice President and Branch Manager for one of the Bank’s branches in 1988. Was
seconded to the Bank’s Singapore Branch in 1989 as Seafood Segment Manager and in 1990 was moved to
the Bank’s Seattle Branch as Credit Manager. Resigned from the Bank in September of 1994.
* Developed and managed key accounts within the seafood industry worldwide (tuna industry,factory
trawlers, longliners, aquaculture, at-sea and onshore processing, seafood marketing companies).
* Reviewed market trends and performed risk/reward analyses on various ventures.
* Analyzed commercial loan applications, making recommendations to Corporate Credit
Committee and Board of Directors.
* Sold banking products to new and existing accounts.
* Extensive experience in problem loan solving activities.
* Traveled extensively and created valuable network worldwide.
* Supervised 35 professional staff.
VICE PRESIDENT - A/S Nevi/Vesta Group (Norway) 8/1982 – 1/1987
Nevi was a consumer/corporate credit supplier (loans, leasing, factoring, tax shelter based financing
packages). Filled several positions in the Nevi Group during a period of five years. Was part of mid-level
management group that was responsible for implementing growth strategy that expanded the Nevi Group’s
loan portfolio from $350 million in 1982 to $2 billion in 1987.
