Dear Sir
We would like to highly recommend that Hanz Miller be accepted as a member of the United States Air Force. Over the years
we have watched Hanz grow from a little boy into manhood from several points of view. More specifically, we have been
friends with his parents for over twenty years, his teacher in high school, and involved in projects associated with attaining his
Eagle Scout rank.
As Hanz’s high school teacher, I, Rosemary, became aware very soon of his high academic ability by high test’s scores and
immediate grasps of concepts. Additionally, he followed up and applied skills learned with above average performances. He
was always respectful and well behaved in the classroom and got along well with his peers. Hanz continued to excel
academically in college by maintaining an above average grade point average until his graduation.
I, Russell, retired from the United States Air Force in 1979 after serving twenty years as a Security Policeman. While in the
military I learned the importance of motivation and responsibility for any mission. Through the years I observed Hanz
demonstrate these important qualities. When he was a teenager I often observed his cutting grass and doing other chores in his
neighborhood, and while a college student he was always working during the summer months. As a Scout, he was motivated
and followed through with responsibility to attain the rank of Eagle Scout which required extensive planning and project
management.
It is without reservation that we recommend that this fine young man, Hanz Miller, be offered the opportunity to become a
member of the United States Air Force.
Sincerely
