2. Teen Drama
Some girls- this drama was set in south London,
it was based on working class girls who are in a
urban secondary school. The age group is based
on 16 year olds and the protagonists are all girls,
however there were a few male characters. The
class of the drama synchronizes with the setting
of the drama as their accents portray their ethnic
backgrounds which means that there is a wide
range of ethnicities such as black , white and
asian. There is no present prejudice against
sexuality.
3. Period/Costume Drama
Downton Abbey- this programme was based on
upper class it was set in England 1924,there isn’t
any obvious characters that come across as
having some type of disability. There is a wide
range of ages in this drama starting from babies
all the way up to the elderly. Due to the time
period this drama was set and the it being based
on upper class citizens the vast majority of people
were white. There was no recollection of black
people etc. There is prejudice against
homosexual.
4. Police/Crime Drama
The Bill- this tv drama was based in East London
inside a police station named “Sun Hill”. There is mild
prejudice against homosexuals due to the years it
was set in which meant that same sex marriages
were not yet legal. The age group varys from young
