Scenes Storyboard and
Shot Types
Initial concert footage and audio
At next verse of the live song, the shot switches to a young
artist in their room, making their own music. Shows the
contrast between their dream and their current reality - working
in order to make their dream happen. The live song is still
playing in the back.
Wide shot - shows behind-the-scenes processes
Can include a
statistic about how
many new young
artists there are
today
Same wide shot, but statistic fades out and title fades in.
Voiceover begins (will be the voices of the young
artists featured in the documentary). Fast-paced
montage of artists’ photos and short video clips
(performances, promos, behind-the-scenes etc.
These can be taken during the filming process)
Variety of shot types
Voiceover continues - voices switch to G&J - young musician
duo. Walking through park to the location where they will be
interviewed.
Extreme wide shot
Interview w/ G&J. Prompts and questions asked will be specified in
brief script.
Wide shot
During interview, polaroids / photos of couple will come up on
screen - added interest for audience. Makes them feel as
though they are involved in their more personal lives.
Range of shot types
G&J say they don’t produce but the know a lot of others
their age do - switch to other musician talking through
production process very briefly.
