Letter of Recommendation for Hamad Almahamed
The Civil Engineering Program at the Florida Institute of Technology is strongly focused on
practical application of engineering and construction management principles in the field. Each of
our faculty members has industry experience prior to teaching in an academic environment. As a
result, by the completion of their program our students have been exposed to a wide spectrum of
real-world case studies and projects, participated in dozens of field site visits, and have actually
planned and designed actual projects.
I taught Hamad in Engineering Materials and in Structural Analysis during his junior and senior
years. He was consistently been a solid A/B student in his studies. He is a mature, motivated
student who plans and executes assignments well and works well in teams. During this time I
observed a steady progression in his work.
Hamad has performed particularly well in his construction management related courses. The
management and leadership courses that he has completed combined with his experience
working in and leading teams of students give him a solid foundation to be immediately
productive as a working Civil Engineer in the field.
