Erosion
An inventory of the Glen Echo Ravine in
Columbus, Ohio led to a realization of very
active erosion happening in almost all facets
of the park. By photographing sections of the
most weathered parts of the ravine, a series
of collages were put together to illustrate the
erosion by way of plant and hardscape materials.

Chestnut Ridge
This conceptional section of illustrates the various conditions of land, water and plant and animal species located throughout
the Chestnut Ridge Metroparks in Carroll, Ohio. The dynamic differences in the slopes at various points within the parks
lead to changes in the types of plant materials as well as the different animal species that inhabit various parts of the park.

This plan shows the various land conditions of the Chestnut Ridge Metroparks in Carroll, Ohio. The topography helped to
design where the trails would follow and what strategies work best for each trail and its designated usage. Soil types are
mapped as well as campground areas.

Regional Food Hub
The small community of Weinland Park, near downtown
Columbus, Ohio, implemented a regional food hub to include
various educational classrooms for food safety education
as well as manufacturing education. Also construted were
train tracks running perpendicular to the site which involved
a pull-off where trains can stop to drop off food products
to the depot. Single and multi-family housing as well
as retail shops are realized in mixed-use developments.

7. Site Renderings Cleveland, Ohio
Lorain Avenue
Corridor Study
The Lorain Avenue Corridor Study in Cleveland, Ohio involved a site
visit and inventory as well as walking the site and capturing the
essence of the area by way of photography and sketching. In order
to get a holistic sense of the corridor it was important to find the
areas where people gather to wait for the city bus as well as where
people tended to gather for lunch and such. Sketches on trace paper
over site photographs helped to visualize the improved site conditions
such as raised planters and seat walls in city bus waiting areas.

8. Sketch Options Cleveland, Ohio
RTA Stop Study
A study and site inventory of an existing RTA (Rapid Transity Authority) stop showed conditions that needed improving and
updating. Multiple renditions of an improved stop area were sketched and rearranged to implement necessary site amenities
including a covered waiting station, multiple benches, waste receptacles, bike racks, planters, wheelchair ramps and sufficient
bright lighting. Each layout is slightly different yet they all contain the same site amenities.

9. Section Series Cleveland, Ohio Construction Details Akron, Ohio
Cleveland Waterfront Madaline Park
This series of illustrative sections portrays different renditions of the conditions of a roadway underpass and
how the ground plane relates to the overpass. The three sections exemplify the different possible connections
that tie the road plane to the overpass by way of retaining wall, a sloped wall and a tiered step condition. It was
also important to focus on the scale of the walls in relation to people, cars and existing landscape elements.

Peninsula Redesign
A redesign of the Whittier Peninsula in Columbus, Ohio creates spaces and
environments for many recreational activities such as boating, tennis and swimming.
Carefully implemented infrastructure inlcudes a biking bridge over the Olentangy River
from the peninsula to the mainland and fishing docks for sport fishing and boating.

Construction Installation
This construction installation was inspired by Stoss Landscape Urbanism’s Green Bay, Wisconsin’s CityDeck at the
Green Bay waterfront. The group assembled CAD models as well as a 3d model to be able to visualize the project
and it’s constructing feasibility. Inserted in our design was a large planter filled with water filtering plants species.

Sustainable Shrimp During research of sustainable shrimp farming in the Midwest,
the idea of natural plant species water filtration came to be. A
series of terraced filtration ponds ultimately leads to green
