2. Fat is not a very nice word. It can be cutting and make you
feel very unhappy, especially if you are overweight. The
truth is that becoming overweight happens. It is fairly easy
nowadays to slip into habits of overeating and a lack of
activity. Daily stresses, family and hectic work schedules
mean that our health can get pushed to the bottom of the
pile.
4. Whilst it is difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle in
today's day and age, your body doesn't know this and will
do what it is told to a certain degree. This means that if
you are inactive and eat too much, your body will store
fat. That is just what it does as it's a natural survival
instinct. We can try and explain it, try and justify it, but in
truth, this is just what it does. Whether we like it or
not, this will happen. This is the bad news! There is
however a flip side to this
6. If you have ever caught yourself saying "I am fat" then
here is the good news. You are not fat you are just in a
body that has stored too much energy. This means that
you don't have to label yourself as fat or anything else. If
you walk around calling yourself fat all the time, this
doesn't give you to best platform to move forward.
7. If you start the process of detaching yourself from the idea
that you are "fat" then you can start the physical process
of losing excess energy. This is all weight loss is, I am sorry
to rain on parades but the basic fundamentals are there
for all to see. Everyone is individual but the truth is that
we are battling with beliefs rather than behaviours. Your
body will just do what it is told.
8. The next piece of good news here is that your body will
adjust to any changes in diet and exercise as well. If you
can shift your mindset away from the notion of being "fat"
and start new challenges, your body will lap it up and
progress with you.
9. Every caught yourself saying "I don't think I can do that?"
In this case, I would recommend diving in and giving it a
go! You will be amazed what you can achieve. I have seen
clients do incredible things in short periods of time. This
shows the other side of coin, by thinking you can do
something you begin the process of doing it. If you believe
you are fat, then you can't break the shackles that hold
you back from doing things "fat" people can't do. Your
body wants to burn the energy and will if you tell it to do
so. The "fat" thing is all in your head. Look at it as stored
energy and burn baby burn!
10. If you are trying to lose weight then I recommend sitting
down and asking yourself the question "How do I see
myself" If the answer is "fat" then great!!
