This document introduces the HAMS project, which aims to accelerate MATLAB simulations using hardware. Currently, MATLAB simulations are implemented through software and executed on general purpose processors, which can be slow. The HAMS project proposes hardware acceleration of MATLAB simulations to reduce execution time. As a case study, the project is applying this approach to simulations of an oxygenator for extracorporeal circulation. More broadly, any simulations involving matrix inversion could benefit from this hardware acceleration in the future. The document provides contact information for the HAMS project.
