Design Philosophy
My inspiration comes from many different facets, one of which is a woman by
the name of Audrey Hepburn. She is strong, feminine and creates a sense of style
that has lasted for years!
Simple but sophisticated.
Her movies create a sense of intrigue and a romance. Such romantic movies,
music and a love for reading are sources to my inspirations.
Often, it is a specific element I see, hear or read and can visualize into a design
or creation.
While I like the softer side, I also lean toward elements that have a story- a rustic
old barn or a beautiful hardwood floor worn down with lots of character.
I find that tastes change with age. I embrace the boldness but feminity of the hot
pink color much like my favorite actress, Audry Hepburn.

Women: Courageous, Confident, Inner Beauty and Strength. These words resonate with the
Brand behind dang chicks. Throughout the edgy flair on t-shirts to belt buckles to lo-
tions, the product design and creation depict the real deal.
“Don’t be someone your not.”
“Just be her today.”
The Southern vibe translates effortlessly into the down home feeling of the Midwest.
Peering through the looking glass at the scenery of charming old rustic barns to the
mixed metals found in landscapes throughout the country. These architectural elements
will be used to define space to transition one part of the country into the other.

TouchDown addresses space within an international airport where
travelers can unwind, rejuvenate or work before their next desti-
nation. By using earth elements and repetition, multi-functional
areas will be designed for a relaxing, tranquil oasis. Art will be
an integral tool usied to bridge the local community to the inter-
national community.

GiGi’s Salon was a project to learn the mastery of the Revit Program. Revit is used
more in a commercial setting as it is very technical in the drawings. You are able
to design a building and structure its components in 3D, annotate the model with 2D
drafting elements and access building information from the building model’s databases.

My client’s style resonates with the Shabby Chic elegance and sophis-
tication of Rachel Ashwell. She wants a space where her romantic,
vintage tastes can be showcased but functionality and comfort is
priority. She loves to entertain and wants her guests to be at home
and comfortable. The space allows for many activities to occur at
any given moment. From watching TV, to playing games, to reading
a book. She wants to create the ultimate vacation stay for anyone
who drops in for a visit.

The Lynn family was looking for a kitchen with functionality as well as easy access to
their appliances. A relaxed and inviting kitchen that family can sit at the counter
while someone is preparing food. They would like the space to be eclectic by the use of
different colors and textures, but be cohesive and fit within the rest of their living
space.

My journey began years ago when I went to school at UW- Stout and gradu-
ated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Child Development and Family Life.
I have always loved the world of design, art and fashion. After a successful
career in the child care industry, I was ready to take that love into the next
chapter of my life. So, I went back to school for Interior Design. I have learned
a great deal through the process as well as the planning, aesthetic and techni-
cal applications to achieve the desired results.
As my story continues, I want to take all of those skills and put them into prac-
tice. My goal is to find a place where my skills and applications will be a great
fit. An environment where one can learn from others as well as they can learn
from me. I look forward to my story continuiing and leading to great opportu-
nities.
