This is a letter of recommendation for Guy Foster. Guy was employed as a temporary employee, in the
role of Manufacturing Engineer & Tooling Specialist, for Kennametal Inc. at the Cleveland Manufacturing
Facility from July 21, 2008 through October 8, 2008. During his short tenure with my department Guy played
a critical role in helping to document and organize our consumable and durable tooling and fixutring used
through out the facility. Guy is extremely intelligent, hard working, dependable individual whom provided
valuable insight on how to reduce manufacturing cost, setup reductions activities and reduce cycle times.
Guy’s departure from Kennametal was in no way tied to his performance. It was part of a series of cost
cutting measures that were being implemented which included releasing all temporary employees. I was in
fact in process of attempting to hire Guy on a full time basis and adding him to my permanent staff. Guy will
be a valuable addition to anyone’s department or staff. I would highly recommend considering Guy for any
