This document provides a recommendation for Greta Aleknaviciute who participated in the Buddy Program at Copenhagen Business School in Fall 2014. The Buddy Program involves students assisting incoming exchange students with airport pickup, accommodation, and settling in during their first weeks. It helps CBS students develop intercultural skills while promoting tolerance and respect among nationalities. 1. Who participated in our Buddy Program in Fall 2014, being a Buddy for two
incoming exchange students.
Being a "Buddy" means, as a minimum, contacting students prior to their arrival and
arranging pickup at the airport taking them to their accommodation, as well as helping
them in settling down in the first weeks they are in Denmark. It also means showing
responsibility, helpfulness and empathy.
The Buddy Program allows CBS students to meet new people from different countries,
obtain intercultural competencies. It also forges tolerance, understanding and respect
for other nationalities and cultures.
Thus, I give her my very best recommendations, and I am available for any questions
this recommendation might raise.
