October, 2015-St. George’s-
Another female has joined the Grenada Football Association team. Ria Murray was
appointed Communications Officer effective Monday October 12, 2015.
She is tasked with ensuring that all stakeholders are kept abreast of the
developments within the organization. Ria Murray joins the G.F.A. with close to
ten years of experience in broadcast media.
One highlight of her career as a journalist is capturing six awards of excellence in
the Media Workers Association of Grenada annual awards ceremony.
She also possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies majoring in English
Language from the St.George’s University where she graduated with highest
honours.
In welcoming the new communications officer, acting General Secretary Malaika
Church said, “The G.F.A. is happy to have Ms. Murray on board. As the
association continues to revamp its image, one of the areas we have struggled with
in the past was in the dissemination of information. We are confident with Ms.
Murray as part of the Secretariat, clubs, the media and the general public would be
properly informed on football activities.”
