Problem & Solution
Problem Solution
• Nixer provides an accessible
platform for tasks to be
outsourced.
• Previously wasted skills can
now be monetised.
• Staff at SME’s (mainly) can now
use their time more productively
and increase performance.
• Many of us waste valuable time
on tasks we could easily
outsource.
• Many of us put our skills to no
use.
• Firms frequently assign tedious
chores to lower-level staff, who
gain nothing from the
experience.
What is Nixer?
Nixer is a platform for outsourcing everyday tasks. Users simply
describe the nixer they want carried out, the amount they are
willing to pay, and the deadline for the task to be completed.
Following this, applicants will apply to carry out the nixer, showing
other users relevant experience and past job ratings. They will
also compete with other applicants on price.
Nixer will be a website at www.nixerit.com and a smartphone app.
Posting Nixers
• Free to join Nixer.
• To have a task completed:
• Open up the app
• Select the category
• Give details on the task.
• The user will set a price and deadline
for the task.
• Nixer will put this task out to
Applicants within a certain km range.
Accepting a Nixer
• Applicant, will need to set up a
profile, verify using Facebook.
• Add your relevant skills and
experience.
• Set the km range you are willing to
work within
• Begin browsing task.
• Once you find something you would
like to do, click EARN and give an
offer on price.
Messaging Service
• When offer is accepted, you will be
put in contact with the User posting
the Nixer.
• She/he will give more details on the
nixer and you will begin the task if
everything suits.
• This messaging service will remain
open throughout the task, and after, if
needed.
• The user will transfer the agreed
price to Nixer at this stage via
PayPal, where it will be held until the
task has been completed.
Payment
• Once a nixer has been completed
and both parties are happy, payment
will transfer via PayPal from Nixer to
the Applicant.
• Nixer will take 10% commission on
the payment amount.
• Electronic invoices and receipts will
be issued and stored on the user or
applicants account online.
Vincent, 52, CFO.
Vincent is a CFO of a small
agribusiness in Sligo and he has
been organising a small event for
some international clients to be held
tonight. He has sent his assistant
Joe home for the evening, only to
find that the photographer has pulled
out last minute. The event is very
important to the company and
Vincent does not have the time or
contacts to find a replacement.
Kevin, 21, Student.
Kevin is a 3rd Year Medicine
Student in Trinity College Dublin. He
has 35 hours of lectures a week and
struggles to balance his academic
and social life. Other than his
academics, Kevin enjoys playing
videogames and photography.
Tonight his friends are busy
studying, but Kevin is going to take a
break and watch TV.
The event was a complete success and Vincent has impressed the CEO with the photos.
Kevin, who would have been sitting at home watching TV, has made €40 he otherwise
wouldn’t have, and has had time enjoying his hobby.
1. Kevin is relaxing at home and decides
to scroll through the Nixer app.
2. He discovers Vincent’s Nixer Task and
realises the office is only a short walk
away.
3. He applies for the task.
4. He is accepted, and makes his way to
the office with his camera.
1. Vincent posts a Nixer looking for a
photographer for the event tonight.
2. He offers €40 if the task is completed.
3. He comes across Kevin who has
applied for the Nixer.
4. He accepts Kevin and gives him further
details.
It already exists.

profiles by signing into Google.
 Secure Payment PayPal provide a secure, encrypted
service to those wishing to transfer money.
 Rating System eBay uses a rating system to allow
each people to assess the quality of other users.
 Messaging Service Facebook’s Messenger service
is unmatched as a medium of communication,
allowing you to talk to anyone using the service in any
location.
Nixer
Why now?
Market Validation
 There are approximately 170,000 full time, highly skilled and motivated students.
 Every year a quarter of the student market leaves college and seeks employment.
 At the moment, huge growth can be seen in the “Gig Economy”
 PWC’s Talent Exchange launched in 2014 to tap into this market, matching freelancer’s
with potential roles / clients.
 Apps such as Uber, Deliveroo and Fiverr are very popular in Ireland and all provide
“gig” employment.
How we make money.
Business Model
 The way that we plan on generating income is through commission on a
nixer.
 10% commission will be taken from the price of each nixer upon payment.
 The fee for using PayPal will be paid for by the user.
 We also plan on making use of Google’s AdSense tool on our site; this will
enable advertisements to be adapted to each user’s interests, as well as
giving us full control of the ads users/customers see.
How big is the market?
Market Size
 We are only targeting the full time student market at the moment. There are
~170,000 full time students in Ireland. From our survey, 80% of those will
eventually use our service; ~136,000 students.
 The same survey showed that 4% of students would nixer something right now.
 There are another ~40,000 amidst part time and remote studies that
potentially could use our system.
 We plan to set up quickly, and expand quickly. Focusing on our target market
for the first 3 years.
 We will increase our user base by 4 each year; each Nixer user would tell 3
of their friends.

Competition
 DoneDeal
 Has the functionality to compete with Nixer.
 Specialise in other areas, such as vehicles advertisement and trading.
 The niche of advertising everyday tasks has yet to be attempted by DoneDeal.
 Fiverr
 Website where users advertise their skills and state the minimum they will work
for.
 Fiverr emphasises tasks of an online, cloud based nature, where as Nixer
provides a wider range of everyday tasks.
 Word of Mouth
 Currently the most popular form of advertising “nixers”.
 Nixer aims to not replace this, but instead make a more efficient process.
Competitive Advantages
First mover
 Nixer is the first company in Ireland to serve our
exact niche. TaskRabbit yet to launch in Dublin.
Financial Perspective
 As seen in from our projections, we are confident in
the potential of our company. Furthermore, given
the ease of expansion after the initial set up of
Nixer, we believe that high growth is likely.
Operating Leverage
 Once our website is up and running, it will take little
effort to migrate our platform to other countries; the
majority of the work will be completed.
Why will Nixer thrive?
Only Students; through Student Unions.
Marketing Plan
 We believe that as students, we know the student market better than anyone.
 We have strong connections with our College’s Student Union;
- Grant is the current Treasurer of the SU’s Entertainment sector.
- Sam is the incoming secretary for the SU Council.
- Donal is the incoming class representative for Computer Science and Business.
 By targeting colleges through the power of the Student Unions of all the colleges in
Ireland, we will be able to get our platform to every student in Ireland without hassle.
 Student Unions and Student Union Candidates have already supported our plan.
Graduated Students, The UK.
The Future
 Target Market grows older and earns money
• Willing to outsource more tasks
• Loyal to the Nixer brand.
 Expand into Northern Ireland
• 50,000 students between QUB and UU.
• Unlike ROI, have fees to pay for, this could create greater demand for flexible work.
 Eventually to Great Britain
• Population 10 times greater than island of Ireland.
 Need to expand quickly, within three years.
Thank You.
