Employed a labour force of 220 and a staff complement of 3.Initiated
operating improvements by;
Automation of the underground and surface ore handling facilities.
The deepening of 2 shafts, instituting an ore pass system.
Purchasing, installing and commissioning air loaders and underground
locomotives.
4. Purchasing, erecting and commissioning a surface conveyor and crusher
system.
Purchasing, erecting and commissioning of two ball mills along with the
extension of the original flotation plant, doubling the throughput of the mines.
The negotiating, coordinating, erecting and commissioning of the first
Bacteria Leaching plant, in conjunction with an American supply house.
Opened Dalling Mine, which included shaft sinking, lateral development, and
the purchase and commissioning of a differential float plant, due to high
antimony.
Purchased the Globe and Phoenix Mine and initiated the dump retreatment
operation and the open cast mining operations over the Globe reef.
The mines were sold in 1988.

Minex 1988 (Pvt) Ltd., Harare, Zimbabwe

Minex was formed in 1988, to supply the mining industry in Africa
with mining expertise, quality capital equipment at realistic prices and
product back-up. Minex, undertook the following projects:
Consulting to Dalling Mines for a hand-over / take-over of the mining
operations.
Feasibility, and planning of the Baomahun Gold Project in Sierra Leone.
Included supply installation and commissioning of a 50 000 tpm heap leach
project, and establishment of surface and underground exploration and
mining operations.
Mining Consultant to Cluff Resources on the Mobale and Twangisa mines in
the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The establishment of the Box cut and trial mining for the Farim Phosphate
mine in Guinea Bissau.
6. January 1992 - To 2006
Sesi Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd., Harare, Zimbabwe
Capacity: Chairman and Managing Director
Focused on the drilling of water boreholes, completing in excess of
1000 boreholes throughout Zimbabwe.
Diversified into exploration drilling, reverse circulation and RAB
drilling.
The operations moved to Kenya completing 125 boreholes.
The moveable assets were sold to a Kenyan company.
7. January 1996 – November 1997
Gwizo Mine, Kwekwe, Zimbabwe
Capacity: Owner / Operator
Gwizo mine was purchased for the reef potential, the project was a 'green
fields', and included the purchasing and erecting of a crushing section,
milling section, and gold extraction circuit, establishment of underground
mining operations. The mine was successful and was sold to Africa
Resources in November 1997.
June 1997 – March 2001
San Martin Mining Company, Kisumu, Kenya
Capacity: Owner/Operator
Purchased a fifty per cent share in the San Martin Mining area, a 1400
Km2 concession area encompassing 39 old gold mines NE of Lake
Victoria.
Ramba Mine was brought into modest-scale production, but the historic
low gold price and investor disinterest resulted in suspension.
8. June 2001 - Dec 2012
Mineral Sands Limited Lilongwe Malawi
Capacity: Majority Shareholder / Operator
Started up a pilot mineral sands dredging and floating processing plant at
Chipoka on the shores of Lake Malawi, requiring a low and high intensity
magnetic separation, electro-static separation and gravity concentration of
rutile, Zircon and Garnet.
Commissioned and operated the Eland Coal Mine, a 10 000 tpm mining and
washing operation north of the town of Karonga in Northern Malawi.
Both operations were sold to Larsen Oil and Gas.
March 2013 - Dec 2014
Chejiri Gold Mine Sanyati, Zimbabwe
Capacity: Shareholder / Operator
Started a 2000 tpm milling and gold extraction plant in a remote area of
Zimbabwe, in conjunction with local land owners, and community
involvement. Production levels reached well beyond expectations, but was
forced to close due to political interference.
