Medivac -Search and Rescue
HELIPRO is the provider of Medivac, Search & Rescue and Evacuation Service to the
Fijian Islands.
Our base is strategically located at Pacific Harbour to allows us to quickly pick up Navy
Rescue Divers and specialist medical staff from Colonial War memorial Hospital in Suva
before proceeding to emergency situations.
Our dedicated Medical Liaison Officer (ret Australian nurse) ensures that all communications
are clear and acted upon.
HELIPRO also provides patient & family services in Fiji to ensure that that there is always
someone to assist.
HELIPRO has the ability to assist withinternal and international medivac situations.
We coordinates all aspects of patient recovery throughout the Fijian Islands and
with its international partners, ensure patients are transport to overseas hospitals in
the shortest possible time.
Should there be a need, HELIPRO can have medical staff flown into Fiji along with
medical equipment required for most emergency situation
HELIPRO is an approved Divers Alert Network (DAN) service provider, complying with the
medical protocols required for diver in distress procedures.

Medivac Helicopter
The helicopter is equipped with a Distress Beacon Directional Finder to ensure that ocean rescues are conducted in the quickest possible time.
HELiPRO`s experienced pilots know the protocols for medical emergencies, Search & Rescue and Diver in Distress procedures and have oxygen and stretcher at the ready.
HELIPRO has satellite phone communication to ensure that communications are maintained with all emergency response groups in the rugged Fiji terrain.
HELiPRO’s BK117 twin engine, air-conditioned helicopter, designed with Comfort & Safety in mind, is proven for medivac situations. With a max speed of 150 knots (227kph) and a cruising speed of 110 knots (203kph) emergencies are quickly attended.
A spacious cabin & cargo compartment, large usable volume and one level floor, easily accessed via two hinged crew doors, two sliding passenger doors and two large rear clamshell doors makes for easy loading of stretchers with rotors turning.
Combining these features with low vibration level during flight, makes the
BK-117 one of the leading twin-engine medivac/SAR helicopters.

HELIPRO computerised tracking system gives real time inflight positioning, allowing for updated information of arrival at the emergency location as well as updated ETA at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, Suva.

The BK117 transports 7 passengers in normal seating configuration and luggage.
Seating can be reconfigure to allow a maximum of 9 passengers.
Note: Number of passengers, amount of luggage is subject to weight limits and distance required to travel between refuelling.
