Saudi Arabia is officially known as the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the largest Arab state in
Western Asia.
It is the only nations with both a Red sea coast and a Pearson Gulf coast.
Saudi Arabia is sometimes called “ the Land of the Two Holy Mosques.”

industrial goods all over the globe
Historical facts:
Saudi Arabia is the home land of the Date Palm Tree. With more than 10000 years of age it is one
of the oldest trees in the world. Many nations transferred the palm trees from Saudi Arabia (used
to be called Arabian Peninsula) to other places in the world after they became amused by its
charming beauty and its endless generosity. For example, the great Alexander was the first to
introduce palm trees to Pakistan. And with the entrance of the Kalifa Abdualrahman Aldakel to
Spain (Andalusia) the first palm tree entered Spain. This led to its availability in America;
because it was introduced to Mexico for the first time by the Portuguese and then it reached the
United States during the 18th century.
Today, Saudi Arabia is the second largest producer of dates in the world.
Makah is the holiest place in the Islamic world. Every year, millions of Muslims go to Hajj or
pilgrimage in Mecca, fulfilling one of the Five Pillars of Islam, namely to make the Hajj in Mecca,
the holy city, at least once in a lifetime if able to do so. The foundation of Islam is important for
everyone to understand whether one is religious or not. Mecca or Makkah, is the historical and
geographical epicenter of Islam. All practicing Muslims, everywhere in the world, prostrate
themselves toward the Kaaba in Mecca five times a day. Every Muslim is obliged to travel to
Mecca, and perform the Islamic ritual of the Hajj at least once in their lifetime, because it is the
"fifth pillar" of Islam. Some Muslims believe that the Kaaba, around which Islam revolves, is
located in the center of the earth.

Elementary education lasts for six years (age level 6-12 years old) and leads to the General
Elementary Education Certificate. Intermediate Education lasts for three years (age level
12-15) and it leads to the Intermediate School Certificate. Secondary school education lasts for
three years (age level 15-18) and it leads to the high school diploma.

Schools are not co-educational.
Universities are Currently, about 1 million students are enrolled in Saudi universities and
colleges, compared to 7,000 in 1970 – a dramatic improvement. Of those, over half are
female. Women attend all major universities, as well as numerous all-female colleges and
private women’s universities.
Higher education has, enthusiastically, developed in most of the scientific fields. There are,
now, 25 high-capacity universities, geographically distributed in the Kingdom regions. All
these universities are linked to the Ministry of Higher Education, but enjoy a high level of
independence in both administrative and academic scope.

King Abdullah Scholarship Program
When compared to everything else in the world, the Makkah Clock Royal Tower Hotel can only
be described in superlatives: the tallest hotel, the tallest clock tower, the largest clock face, the
largest indoor space.
It is a construction project full of superlatives: the world’s largest tower clock in Mecca, the Holy
City of Islam. The building at the center of the sacred site breaks over 30 world records; its giant
clock face is 43 meters in size, the minute hand measures 23 meters in length and the clock drives
weigh 21 tons a piece. Put together it is an engineering masterpiece, 35 times larger than Big Ben
and adorned in over 98 million glass mosaic tiles with 24-carat gold leaf. By night over two
million LEDs illuminate the tower clock making it legible from distances of over eight
kilometers.

the means to attend the best world universities to pursue studies that lead to degrees (bachelor's,
master's and doctorate) and medical fellowships. Also the US has the majority of KASP students
currently exceeding 71,000 students studying in all states. The Counties to which students are sent
studying the program have been selected on the basis of the excellences their educational programs
and are subject to periodic review.
