Business Planning & The Development Of Strategic View

Planning and Project Management
- Analyzed the requirements of the military pay system for consideration for alternate service delivery through the private sector.
- Composed a statement of work for use as a "Request for Comment" and eventual use as a "Request for Proposal" to ascertain
industry's interest in the alternate service delivery of military pay services.
- Coordinated all the requirements and managed the varied interests of a multitude of Departmental and other non-departmental
agencies in the development of the requirements for military pay services.
- Attained all project milestones without fail or delay.
- Cited by the Office of the Auditor General ,Mr. Peter Kasurak: "it was well done., we do say it was a well-analysed
project, and it's also one of the best."
Program Direction
- Developed an alternate financial delivery system (Pre-determined Pay). Method replaced the Department's current process at a
savings of time and money for administering the financial requirements of deployed members.
- Implemented a major change in December pay policy that better managed the Department's cash flow requirements and that
provided a better service to Canadian Force members.
- Implemented a Military Community Family Resource Centre (CFS Debert) on behalf of its Commanding Officer. Although CFS
Debert is no longer an effective unit, the family resource centre continues to exist to meet the needs of the military community in
Colchester County.
