• In charge of maintaining and regularly updating the NMO patient database
• Organising agenda for weekly NMO group meetings.
• Organizing patient folders, surveys and questionnaires for NMO patient clinics
• Responsible for organising the follow up of new AQP4 positive patients, by contacting the
corresponding referring clinicians, and ask them to send back any updates with
regard to patient relapses, changes in diagnosis, administration of
new treatments etc.
• In charge of sending receiving and filing NMO Service questionnaires from new NMO
positive patients, and analysing information for statistical purposes.
• In charge of maintaining a log with names of patients who are to receive blood kits for further
blood sample collection. Blood samples to be then analysed by our group’s research team for
detection of AQP4, ClyR and MOG antibodies.
• Responsible f o r contacting the referring h o s p i t a l s /medical centres, for
retrieving contact details of referring clinicians, whenever they are missing on the sample forms.
• Responsible for keeping records of antibody titres and CBA assay scores so that clinical
staff has access to them prior to patient clinics and our weekly MDT meetings.
