RIVIERA HOME FURNISHINGS
INTRODUCTION
• Family owned company started in 1978 with a few hand looms.
• Now one of India’s major textile companies employing 3500 workers
with five separate plants covering 80,000 sqm of land or the
equivalent of ten football fields. Each plant is also multi-storey.
• Product ranges include bath mats; decorator rugs; accent & scatter
rugs; wall to wall carpet; cotton blankets and tufted bedspreads.
• A vertically integrated manufacturer with very strong quality controls
and the holder of a DETOX Certificate; OEKOTEX Standard 100 & the
Global Organic Textile Standard.
• One third of the power we consume comes from our own solar
energy panels which are located in three of our five plants.
PLANT LOCATION
The factory precinct is located in
Panipat City which is around 90 km
from New Delhi.
The nearest airport is New Delhi
which is a 2 hours drive with our
company fleet of modern vehicles.

• Our Company has a responsibility to protect the environment. We use eco
friendly dyes and recycled packaging materials.
• We also have treatment plants for recycling the water used during the
dyeing process.
• We have solar panels installed at three of our five plants.
ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant ) is a most common requirement for
modern industry in terms of Environmental Sustainability.
Our Company is operating ETP in every Production unit.
We have a contract with a Government approved agency GEPIL who
carry all our sludge (coming out of ETP ) from each production unit.
We only discharge 100% treated water out of ETP and use 60%
treated water for further dyeing process.
We do regular testing of our ETP Water and have a DETOX Certificate
which certifies the best ETP practices.
Our company believes in
renewable energy and has
installed a Solar energy plant at
three of our five units where
we produce one third of all our
power consumption.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent test and certification system for raw
textile, intermediate and end products at all stages of processing.
It covers :
a) banned and controlled substances
b) chemicals known to be harmful to the health
c) parameters for health protection
Our company has undergone the procedure to test all our running products.
We hold a valid Oekotex certificate for Product Class II up until March 2017.
• GOTS is a Global Organic Textile Standard. It deals with the
use of harmful chemicals in the entire textile process from
fiber cultivation until final packaging
• GOTS has released a specified list of chemicals which
industry can use during each production process.
