2. Susie-Lynn
There has been a body found in the rural village of Badwell-Ash.
On the body they found a necklace. The detective in charge, Di Neville
smith, of the case recognises the necklace and identifies it as his brother’s
(stuart) deceased wife’s. He visits his brother, showing him the necklace they
decide to look into the death again.
They visit the grave, that’s when we first meet ‘her’.
3. Ideas, Themes and messages.
Revenge- The case on his wife’s death was never
closed, although they know she was murdered. One
theme of the film is finding out what happened to his
wife, punishing the murderer and letting go of the past.
False hope- Stuart still believes there is hope for him
and his wife because he still believes she isn’t dead
because he never got to see the body.
4. Target audience
The audience will get to know the background story
and feel as though they are comfortable with what is
happening when things become more complex.
It will get the audience thinking about things like;
Who is the killer? Is she still alive?
5. Thriller conventions
Flashbacks- Will give the audience clues as to what
happened to his wife, but never properly show what
actually happened.
Red herrings- Could make it look like it was one
person, when actually it is someone completely
unexpected.
Femme fetal- She could potentially be the end of him.
Miss direction- making the audience think one
thing, when it is actually another.
6. Practical details
Location- Badwell Ash, a small rural village. We plan to
use a grave yard (an idea was to dig up the grave)
although we cannot actually dig up someones actual
grave. We could dig up a random bit of ground and
edit it to make it look like a grave.
Time- Jumps between past and present. (Parallel
editing)
Personnel- 2 men and a woman.
