Motorola Migrate
When you get a new phone, the first thing you want to do is transfer all your stuff to it -- and we want
to make that process as easy as possible. With Motorola Migrate, you can transfer content from your
old phone to your new Moto E in minutes.
From an old Android phone, you can quickly and easily move your photos, texts, SIM contacts and
even your call and text history and locally stored music and videos.
Try it:
• Before you start, make sure your old phone is running Android 2.2 (Froyo) or higher.
• Download the Motorola Migrate app from Google Play to your old Android phone. To complete this
step, you may need to connect your old phone to Wi-Fi.
• On your new Moto E, open the Motorola Migrate app and select “Android”.
• Follow the prompts to start transferring your stuff. While you’re doing this, you can keep using either
phone--just keep them within 20 feet of each other.
From your old iPhone, you can easily and quickly move your contacts and calendar information to your
new Moto E.
Try it:
• On your new Moto E, open the Motorola Migrate app and select “iPhone”.
• Enter your iCloud and Google login information when prompted.
• While you’re downloading your stuff, you can keep using your new Moto E. Motorola Migrate will run
in the background.
Motorola Migrate even gives you the ability to transfer the contacts from basic cell phones to your new
Moto E!
Try it:
• On your new Moto E, open Migrate and select “Other phone type”
• Follow the screens to select the destination for your contacts, your old phone brand, and whether your
old phone has Bluetooth.
• Turn on Bluetooth on your old phone and make it discoverable per the instruction screens, then touch
“Next” to pair the phones.
• Follow the instructions and migrate your contacts.
• Tip: Motorola Migrate is optimized for phones with Bluetooth, but we may still be able to help if your
old phone doesn’t have Bluetooth. You can visit our web portal (www.motorola.com/getmigrate)
to check out your old phone’s compatibility and learn about options for migrating by sideloading
Motorola Migrate to your old phone.

Let the fun begin. Just add color.
Give your phone a splash of color with six new interchangeable Motorola Bands.*
Start with a black
or white phone, and then choose from accent colors like turquoise and raspberry. Swapping Bands is
quick and easy. Get extra protection by choosing from five Motorola Grip Shells.
Try it:
• Every white Moto E comes with a white band, and a black Moto E comes with a black band. To
customize your Moto E, simply exchange the original band for a Motorola Band in a different color.
• To remove the band, while looking at the back of your Moto E, find the indentation on the lower right
of the Motorola Band on the device.
• Use your index finger to pull on that indentation so the Motorola band unsnaps from the device in
that corner.
• Gently pull on the band to unsnap the remaining clips from the device.
• You can now insert SIM card(s) or microSD cards into your device.
• To install a new Motorola Band, simply line up the microUSB opening on the bottom of the device and
snap the new Motorola Band on (through the back of the device).
• You can also purchase a Motorola Grip Shell for added grip and durability. Motorola Grip Shells feature
a rubberized frame for extra grip and protection against impact.

GOOD
STUFF
TO TRY
Adapts to you, not the other way around.
Moto E knows when you want it to be silent (like when you’re in class or a meeting). Set actions and
exceptions so they work exactly how you want them to. Your Moto E even displays notifications and
updates without disrupting what you’re doing.
Try it:
• From the Apps screen, touch Moto.
• From here you can choose to set your phone to:
– Adjust to different scenarios automatically using “Assist”
– React to gestures using “Actions”
– Display important notifications without having to unlock using “Display”
• Customize these settings to your linking to start experiencing the best Moto has to offer!
Great music for free.
There’s music in the world and tons of it is still free. Just tune in with the FM radio4
on Moto E.
Discover new stations or play your favorites through headphones or the built-in speaker. It’s all
yours to explore.
Try it:
• Plug a pair of wired headphones into your Moto E, then open the FM radio app from your app tray.4
The headphones serve as the antenna for the radio, so make sure the headphones stay plugged in
while you’re listening to music.
• Once open, the app will immediately scan for radio stations. If you aren’t detecting many stations, try
moving locations to improve your reception and then scan again.
• You can star your favorite stations for easy access.
• Fun tip: to listen to the radio from an external speaker, you can keep your headphones plugged in
while pairing your Moto E to a Bluetooth-enabled wireless speaker. Once paired, you can still use the
headphones as an antenna but play audio through the external speaker.
4
Wired headphones (sold separately) are required for use.
Speaking of helpful. Google Voice Search™
.
You don’t have to spend all that time typing on your phone. Speak up and use Google Voice Search
for Android to browse the web, make a call, get directions and so much more.*
Try it:
• From the home screen, tap the microphone icon in the search bar, or just say “OK Google”.
