Press Release IE and New Metrics for LinkedIn and FB
1. IE Business School Dubai Centre partners with New Metrics to
educate the next generation of business leaders in Oman
Program’s targeting Managers and Entrepreneurs to begin in August 2016
IE Business School has signed an agreement with New Metrics Management Consultancy
in Oman to provide Open Executive Education and Corporate MBA programs. Delivery of
these programs will begin in August 2016, teaching a new method of leadership
development in Oman for the first time using the IE Business School’s philosophy to
challenge participants to think differently and encourage their entrepreneurial spirit. In
order to help lead change and innovation as the Sultanate of Oman’s economy continues to
diversify, each course is designed to position the leader as a ‘host’ rather than a ‘hero’,
allowing conversations and interactions across boundaries that releases the potential of
others rather than insisting ideas conform to a single viewpoint.
The IE Business School has been rated first worldwide for online MBA programs by the
Financial Times, First worldwide for Executive MBA programs by the Economist and
second worldwide for Non-American Business Schools by Bloomberg Business Week.
From its main campus in Madrid and center in Dubai DIFC, the school has prioritized
diversity, welcoming students from over 100 countries, and championing the different
perspectives to offer a holistic educational experience.
Gavin Breslin, Director of Corporate Relations for IE Business School Dubai Centre, said,
“Partnering with New Metrics enables us to develop and share IE Business Schools
leadership and development expertise as Oman continues to grow and diversify. This is an
exciting opportunity for executives in Oman to be challenged and learn new ways of
thinking critically and creatively to benefit the country’s industry both now and for years to
come.”

2. IE Business School has a proven track record of encouraging dormant potential within
candidates and creating the environment for ideas to thrive through experiential learning
and personal development.
Mohamed Debouk, CEO of New Metrics, said, “Dynamic business leadership is needed
now more than ever. As Oman continues its economic diversification from the oil industry
to other areas including banking and finance, manufacturing and tourism, there is vast
potential for graduates, new managers and existing senior executives to benefit from a new
way of thinking in order to continue this drive forward to the future.”
The school also focuses on developing the entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, and
places positive social impact at the forefront of its activities. IE Executive Education
programs equip managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders with the latest tools and best practices
to succeed. Programs in Oman will offer new perspectives on the emerging future at a
social, organizational and personal level and assist each participants vision of what senior
leadership could look like in the future, with exercises designed to articulate how to make it
happen.
By showing candidates a clearer view of their own areas for development and equipping
them with insight into leading-edge approaches to social and organizational change and
innovation, each student leaves the course with the judgement required to adapt their
approach to different contexts and types of initiatives, making them stronger and more
flexible leaders at work and in their personal lives. For more information and to find out
