DESIGNATION – Assistant Manager – MIS & Business Analytics
Job Description
• Preparing monthly, quarterly & yearly MIS for the management and board
meetings.
• Part of the consolidation team for preparing the consolidated financials –
monthly, quarterly & yearly.
• Subsidiary manufacturing units supervision – finalizing monthly accounts
& advising on finance related matters.
• Preparing presentations and brief summary of financials for the CFO.
• Annual budget preparation for the standalone – UAE & China & for group
• Supervising part of the daily accounting activities
• Preparing other ad-hoc reports as and when required by the CFO or
management.
• Financial modeling, business valuation models, budget variances and other
business analytics.
• Variance & root cause analysis against budget.
2) RAK Ceramics (China Plant) - From Jan, 2013 up to April, 2015
DESIGNATION – Senior Executive – Finance & Accounts
(Working title as Head of finance & accounts)
Job Description –
• Preparing the month end and yearend financial statements both for management
purpose and accounting purpose – (RAK china standalone + consolidated) as per
IFRS.
• Ensuring the monthly and yearly accounting compliances with the government
authorities is being duly dealt with and there are no delays and irregularities.
• Preparation, maintenance and filing of projected P&L Account & Balance Sheet as
required by bank authorities and financial institutions.
• Managing the finance department of the company –
o corporate finance,
o introducing & promoting new & cost effective facilities
o managing & controlling the funds utilization and ensuring optimum utilization
of banking facilities,
o Preparing the weekly and monthly operational cash & fund flow budget.
o Putting up the necessary control measures to ensure that the budgets are
followed through & correcting the variances for future.
• MIS & reports preparation, setting up the KPI’s, variance analysis, capital budgeting,
financial modeling.
• Internal controls –
o Ensuring the audits (both internal & external) is done on proper time and
manner.
o Suggesting & implementing Internal Controls - in order to restrict the losses,
in various fields such as for raw material consumptions, packing materials,
stock adjustments, purchase prices monthly tracker, etc.
o Monthly projections and targets - monthly P&L were prepared in advance,
thus giving targets to each department in order to maintain the company on
the balance and not to fall in the losses.
3) KGK Gems (HK) Ltd.- Hong Kong (from September, 2011 to May, 2012)
DESIGNATION - Accounts & Finance Executive.
Job Description –
• Preparing the month end and yearend financial statements both for management
purpose and accounting purpose.
• Dealing with banks for corporate finance functions as well as reporting
• Responsible for setting up a new business channel between China & Hong Kong.
• Solely setting up, operating & leading accounts team in China branch
• Preparing MIS and other management reports. On that basis evaluating
performances and implementing controls.
• Ensuring the statutory and internal audits are done on time and in proper manner
with full compliances
• Ensuring the compliances with tax department and other govt. departments are met
within proper time & framework.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
Below are the major achievements during the working experience -
• Internal Controls - Suggesting the major controlling points in the system in order to
control the consumption and monitor the productivity.
• Project evaluation – prepared & analyzed various project reports using financial models
such as business valuation, capital budgeting, etc.
• Monthly projections -Starting a new trend preparing the monthly projected
profitability and thus setting the targets for departments in order to achieve the desired
results and also it helps in keeping the control over process and operations.
• Yearly Projections & Budgets – Involved in preparing yearly budgets & projections.
• Negotiating the exchange rate for capital injections with the foreign exchange
department
• Updating the costing structure of company - the costing had certain flaws in
calculation and simultaneously in the method (Updating it to size wise, kiln wise).
• Introducing and promoting new bank facilities such as SCF, CIL in order to manage
the funds shortage and thus keeping intact the suppliers timely payment.
