• Position at Woods Hardwick was focused between the ‘Residential Architecture’ and ‘Town Planning’ Departments.
This internal multidisciplinary working provided grounding in understanding the dynamics, workings and strategies of
the business, as well as enabling me to develop the wider generic skill set required of environment professionals.
• Preparing and submitting planning applications (outline & detailed) ranging from small infill sites to large mixed use
development schemes, provided me with experience within the design and development control process.
• 3D-modelling of masterplans and production of various planning drawings including street scenes, detailed housing
layouts and house type elevations / floor-plans. These where produced both digitally and freehand using various
software packages including AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Sketch-Up, MicroStation.
• Production of working design documents including design briefs/codes and design and access statements.
• Liaison with clients including Taylor Wimpy, Persimmon and Skanska, in co-ordination with Town Planners and local
authorities on a day-to-day basis.
