Effective study skills
Success in school or university has many different keys ,And one of the most
important keys to successed in school is practicing a strong and effective study skills
because they help students to achieve more productive results and acquire good
grades, and it also differ from one person to another depending on one's learning style.
intrapersonal people find libraries a calm and suitable place to review their
textbooks, whereas Interpersonal people enjoy working in a group exchanging
ideas, brainstorming about their handouts and assignments. But,There are some golden
tips that every successful student need to include in a study plan. Motivation, time
management and taking notes .
Some people say that Motivation is like breathing,As We need the latter to stay
alive , We also need motivation in our dailylife in order to achieve our goals and realize our
dreams. A teacher should be motivated to help his students learn better, A doctor has to be
motivated to help his patients to heal and recover. And students should be also motivated
so as to study effectively ,because if he isn't motivated and interested in what he's
studying,There won't be productive results at the end of his study's session. But,This
motivation can increase and decrease over time. When a student is strongly motivated, it's
easier for him to concentrate and stayed focus, and when assignments seem to be difficult
and so long. And he has a lot of stuff to do. He begins to loose it. So, from time to time,it's
imporant to try to boost his motivation by reminding himself of his goals and dreams that
he want to achieve when he gets this qualification. And finding a source of inspiration. For
example, he could imagine himself teaching business english in an international university
or winning nobel prize in art or science. In other words. The more he remembers his goals
either short‐term or long –term ones, the more motivated he becomes.
When the student becomes so motivated about his studies, so keen on learning
and understanding his subjects ,managing and scheduling time is the next effective study
skill that any successful student would need to achieve his academic success and perform
well in his studies. Keeping records is one of time management's tools where the students
write their daily schedule in their notebooks. Subjects that they will revise and how long
they're going to spend in each one.For example. As a student in Ict and tefl master
program,I can study litterature for 2 hours then writing my business english assignments in
3 hours and not forget to open my grammar book and do some activities. As a result, I have
saved much time to revise other subjects. But, students need to balance between studies
and relaxation time which will lead to a happier, healthier and less stresssful life. So, don't
