What is centralized network management (CNM)? Centralized network management helps network administrators monitor and manage a distributed network of your network devices.
CloudCNM is the comprehensive network monitoring & management software that provides the network administrators with an integrated console for managing Security Gateways including USG/ZyWALL and UAG series which can be extended in the future. It offers multiple communication protocols and applications to manage different network devices and makes it more effective for administrators to manage the enterprise network.
This is an example scenario in my environment. The CNM server, CNM client, and ZyWALL/USG are in the same subnet. The CNM client manages ZyWALL/USG by the CNM server.
The device list also shows which devices are managed by the CNM server, including detailed information, ex: model name, firmware version, and IP address of ZyWALL/USG.
If we fill-in Latitude/Longitude or address into the import device list, then we can see the location on the map.
VPN topology: 1 Site-to-site: The most typical topology of IPSec VPN is two sites. One headquarter and one branch only, establish site-to-site VPN between each other. 2 Fully mesh: In mesh topology, one site is connected to every other site. This topology It means all sites are connected to each other. If one site has a failure, only that site will be down, all other sites can still communicate with each other. 3 Hub and spoke: Hub and spoke like a star topology, each site is connected to a central hub with a point-to-point connection. If central site have connection problem, all sites will have no connection. The advantage of hub and spoke topology is simplicity of adding additional nodes. 4. Remote access: When we create site-to-site VPN connection, we would use public static IP address to connect to each other. However, some of your site are not use public static IP address and dynamically assigned by the ISP. The remote site access to headquarter with dynamic IP address, so the IP address of a remote access might unknown We can select remote access to realize this scenario.
