3. Even though globalization has become inherent phenomenon, it
in real sense has taken wings only recently. The current times have
seen mammoth change in the field of finance and accounting. India
is emerging as a major player and Indian companies are making
their presence felt in the global economics. This ever dynamic
and constantly changing scenario demands profound interest
in the financial landscape urging us to find innovative ways of
managing inbound foreign investments, facilitating increasing global
aspirations of emerging markets as well as increasing the scope of
financial inclusions. The current time is interesting yet demands a lot
of deliberation and thought provoking discussions. The conference
aims to bring together academicians, practicing managers, and
experts to deliberate upon and reveal insights into the emerging
concepts in the field of finance and accounting in the corporate,
institutional and the individual contexts. The time has arrived to
brainstorm and come up with some path breaking and innovative
ideas both at macro and micro level which would put India in a
respectable position in the global investment map. Dynamics of the
financial market, Financial Product and process innovations, global
financial market fragmentation, integration and consolidation,
increasing focus on behavioral aspect of the finance, emergence
of the startups and non conservative methods of financing
them, have raised several challenging issues worthy of research.
This is an earnest attempt made by the faculty of management
studies, Ganpat University to act as a forum of communication
for academics, researchers and practitioners on all such issues
through empirical as well as conceptual research papers, literature
reviews, case studies etc. The main focus of this conference would
be to bridge the gap between theory and practices in the above
mentioned aspects of Finance as well as Accounting.
