Dear Sir/Madam
Achieved a Second Class Honours (1st
Division) MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. With
a wide range of engineering skills, demonstrated both at University and during previous employment in
addition to passion to expand my engineering technical knowledge.
In support of my application, I would like to draw your attention to the following points:
Experience: I have 3years experience working as a maintenance engineer at the National Iron
Factory in Khartoum Sudan, were as a team leader, I dealt directly including three phase motors with
the CNC machines, lathe machines and an induction furnace. I also have 12-month experience in
building services with Sudan National Electricity Crop in Khartoum, were I was design and install

my previous experience at Sudan National Electricity Crop, I improved my confidence to undertake
tasks independently and demonstrated efficiently.
Group ProjectDesign– During my studies at Teesside University I have participated in eight Group
Projects. These have helped me develop key skills such as communication skills, working with group
to solve engineering problems and time management. Reflection during projects has improved my
academic achievements and oral presentation skills.
Academic study - I have passion for electrical power system design, distribution network and
building services. Ihave spent two yearsresearchingelectrical powerflow, distribution systems, fault
analysis and protection for my dissertations. My research has involved the use of IPSA, Simulink,
PowerWorld and ETAP to solve problems associated with power flow, fault and protection system
analysis.
Software Skills – Throughout my work experiences and career at Teesside University I have used
many software programmes which include Matlab, Maxpuls2, Simulink, Proteus, LT spice,
AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerWorld and IPSA, allowing me to demonstrate my engineering problem
solving skills.
I hope my application is successful and I am looking forward to discussing my application further in an
